Sub-standard. More 3 star than 5.
Firstly, the booking we initially made was Damac Royale Tower, however this tower was apparently shut down and only available as a residence and not aparthotel. We were changed to Damac Maison Distincton.
Our stay for 4 nights was decent, we had many issues though.
1. When we arrived to check in, we knew we were early so we offloaded luggage and checked in knowing our room wont ve ready we advised the valet not to park our car as we would be leaving in a few minutes. But, he insisted on parking the car. As soon as he got back from parking the car we had requested our car to be brought back. Waited 20 mins for the car to come back.
2. I prefer to park my car myself at most places anyways, so further to the above i parked the car myself. When entering the parking after returning, we were told we need tl have a room number. We did not as our room was not ready.
3. After getting a room number and checking in the additional 2 guests (we booked a 3 bedroom unit) the security counted the people in the car and said the booking is only for 2 adults.
4. No towels in the bathrooms after cleaning on 3 days.
5. Bins not cleaned daily.
6. Kitchen dishes not packed after cleaning.
7. Cleaning very quick and not clean enough.
The managers on duty were very good to throw in late check out or a platter of fruit whenever we complained, however it did not convince us that the issues were fixed.
