Fall Family Fun! Central to Bryce & Zion!

Enjoy the quaint Duck Creek Village Row only 5 minutes away from the chalet. Pine Trees and aspen fill Cedar Mountain - so peaceful! There are ONLY 4 restaurants in Duck Creek open year round, plus four OHV rentals (snowmobile and ATVs) for hundreds of miles of off-road adventure trails, and two adorable gift shops. Centrally located between Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park - each under an hour away. There is so much fun to be had while staying in Duck Creek: many hiking trails in the national parks- yes, even in winter! Brian Head Ski Resort is just under an hour during snow season due to route taken. There are nearby hills within 5 min to sled or you can build a snowman with our snowman decor right outside and throw snowballs! Warm beverages, loads of game choices for the family to enjoy. Once snow hits, vehicles should be 4X4 or AWD. It is advised to carry chains too.
The home has serving platters and bowls for Thanksgiving with fall decor. After Thanksgiving, the home is decorated with a Christmas Tree and Christmas decor.

Solo Stove Fire Pit available from April/May through October subject to county fire restrictions.

Enjoy the open space floor plan on the main level of the home with kitchen, dining, and living. The dining/island for six, plus a round bar height table for four allow ten guests to have seating for eating and relaxing. āœ« āœ«3 BEDROOMS & 3 BATHROOMSāœ« āœ«
At night you'll find comfortable, luxury mattresses and bedding. We've got several types of pillows for you to choose from. We want you to have a perfect night's sleep. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan. Our three bedrooms sleep 10.

āœ«Main Levelāœ«
The Master Bedroom on the main level has a King bed with a Dr.Greene Kelly Soft Mattress and cozy bedding. There are extra blankets for those who like to sleep even warmer. In addition to the ceiling light fan, there are two side lamps and an alarm clock/charging station. You will have direct access to your bathroom from your room, but the bathroom also has a door into the hallway if you choose to let those on the main level use it. The bathroom has a great barn door we installed for extra privacy and a step-in shower. A hair dryer and magnifying mirror are provided as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap for your convenience. My husband likes to lock the door to the hallway and have the kids go to upper or lower-level bathrooms. The log king bed has drawers on each side if you like to unpack and a fairly large closet. The Pack&Play is stored in the master closet for those traveling with young children.

āœ«Upper Levelāœ«
The "East" room has a Queen log bed, dresser and two nightstands with table lamps and alarm clock/charger station. There is a ceiling light fan. Youā€™ll find extra blankets. A new luxury mattress was placed called "Goldilux" for the perfect Goldilocks night sleep in October.
The Upper Level full Bathroom is between the ā€œEastā€ and ā€œWestā€ bedrooms. It has a shower and a tub. Youā€™ll find a hair dryer and magnifying mirror in the bathroom for your use, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the dispenser on the shower wall.
The "West" room sleeps five or six with one set of twin bunk beds, a full size bed and a single twin bed. There is a dresser and nightstand, and a ceiling light fan. Up to five can sleep in the "West" bedroom.

āœ«Lower Levelāœ«
Need different room configurations with your family and friends? We also have a twin roll-a-way foldable bed that can be used on the lower level to sleep 9 or 10. There is a full bathroom with shower/tub on the lower level. You will also find a hair dryer, as well as the shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is also an electric fireplace for added warmth as it stays cooler when the rest of the house is warm. There is also a basket of blankets (electric blanket too) for cozying up on the leather recliners. Need a place to work? A Bar-height desk set at the window allows you to see deer passing. A 65ā€ TV is also located on this level.

āœ« āœ«ADVENTURE CAVEāœ« āœ«
On the lower level, there are toys, coloring paper/crayons, and books; log pillows to kick back in the cave or living area, and a carpeted area cave for your children to play. Weā€™ve been careful to not have toys that could be a choking hazard. Please do check the toys available. There are also large Jenga blocks to pull out and build in the open living area. There are real caves you can visit while in Duck Creek Village. You can get to Ice Caves from car or ATV trails.

ā€œHome was nestled in a great part of Duck Creek. Amenities were endless and the home was perfect for two families to share. Everything you needed was provided and the communication with the property was impeccable. Will definitely book again if visiting the area.ā€ Meghan C. July'22

The Duck Creek Village neighborhood roads are all dirt. In the winter or when the weather is stormy, having 4x4, AWD, and/or chains are needed. Our street, Redwood Road is long and uphill, but there is an alternate way if the road is too difficult on one section. Now, once to our driveway - flat, flat as can be. Great family reunion place
The communication for the property was great. It worked out well as we stayed with my brother and his family, and it fit us all well, where the cousins could all stay in the room with five beds. The only recommendation we would have is to have them check the alarm clocks. The first morning there the alarm clock went off at 6 AM. We unplugged it and didnā€™t think about it again the next morning it went off at 6 AM again, but it was unplugged and off with the battery back up again at 7 AM that day we took out the batteries so we did not have that problem the third morning but someone could just double check them in between stays would be great. Thanks for letting us use your beautiful cabin.

Everything about the cabin exceeded expectations. It was clean and meticulously organized; the beds were comfy and the linens plush. Katie was a joy to communicate with and offered great advice for local activities. Our family of 7 felt totally at home and really enjoyed Duck Creek! Great central location to head to Bryce or Zion. We hope to be back sooner than later to stay again - this is an absolute gem; hands down the best VRBO weā€™ve stayed in.

Amazing Cabin
We loved being in Duck Creek, even though it was only for one night! From the moment we arrived, everything about the cabin was perfect. We ate at a restaurant down the street from the cabin and the food and service were excellent! The cabin was beautiful, clean and had everything we could possibly need, including a welcome gift basket. Katie, the host was very helpful, responsive and super easy to communicate with. I wish we werenā€™t just passing through. We will definitely be back and look forward to staying again in the future.

Great family trip! Beautiful cabin!
When searching online as soon as we came up on this listing, I knew this would be the best place to celebrate my sonā€™s birthday with our family to have a great experience. The pictures are great however when walking in for the first time this cabin is absolutely beautiful nothing was left attention to detail, and the decor really makes you feel like youā€™re at home in a place that you can actually live in. The appliances pictures, pans, silverware welcome basket even a custom note from the owner really makes you feel welcomed. The owners spared no expense. You donā€™t need to bring anything for the exception of food everything you need the cabin had. What made me the happiest was that the children were so excited with the amazing game room, which they played for hours when it was too cold to play outside. We all felt like home and even though we knew we had to get home, no one wanted to leave because this place is awesome. The breathtaking views, when you wake up, looking out of the many windows is just absolutely stunning & beautiful, not to mention peaceful. My son and the other kids were so happy along with my other family members with our entire experience. We are talking about coming back in a summer and being able to experience a cabin in a different season. We canā€™t wait to come back to this one-of-a-kind weekend retreat and create new memories with my family.

WOW!
"Wow!" was an oft used expression on this trip, starting with the opening of the front door to this beautiful cabin! Many more "wows" followed as we visited five National Parks/Monuments during our week long stay! The cabin was home base and central to all of the Parks. Of course the Parks themselves were stunningly beautiful and the scenery along the roads driving to the parks was breathtaking. We spotted lots of wildlife along the way like big horn sheep, lots of deer, "regular" sheep, bison, horses and more! The cabin itself was as nice as advertised. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there. It was well equipped with everything you would need including a Welcome basket with lots of goodies to munch on throughout the stay, lots of games for family fun in the evenings, and even a game room on the lower floor with pacman and galaga and other vintage games. Brian and Katie Orr were great hosts and provided much valuable information and recommendations of things to do in the area, places to eat, etc. We could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend this cabin when visiting southern Utah!

Family Friendly Chalet - Excellent!
This was our first time visiting Duck Creek. Our daughter was getting married in the campground area. The website photos for Canyon Country Chalet are 100% accurate. From the moment I booked this trip I felt like I was talking to a friend of the family. Our host, Katie Orr is fabulous. Great preparation and communication. Every detail is laid out for you when it comes to the village, the home or outdoor activities. The Orr family put together an excellent guide book to help you on your Journey. Thoughtfulness to call ahead and check store closing times since I messaged we were arriving later. Katie checked the Pizza restaurant closing time and other shops so we would be prepared. I mentioned fishing and she made sure the tackle box and fishing poles were ready to go incase we forgot something. We had a last minute lunch she messaged me to let me know where the serving bowls were. She went above and beyond to make this mother of the bride stress free. The home was clean, interior design- beautiful, game room and basketball for my 10yr old son and a large deck with fireplace to sit at and enjoy family conversation or a good game of cards. I can't wait for my family to return. I highly recommend the Orr Family and the Canyon Country Chalet for your next stay.

Perfect house outside a great town
This was one of the best properties we have rented! The house itself was beautiful and set outside of the cutest little town of Duck Creek. The house supplied all the little extras like toilet paper, paper towel, Kleenex, laundry detergent, etcā€¦ They even provided coffee and some snacks for our hiking excursions. We enjoyed playing scrabble, UNO, and other games which were all provided. We stayed here and went to Bryce Canyon one day and Zion the next. The location worked great for us. Do pick up groceries in a larger town on the way here though, as part of this areas charm is the quaintness of it and there is a very small grocery store here with only a few essentials.

We had such a great time here! The cabin was amazing. There was plenty of space for everyone. It had everything you could possibly need.
