Welcome to our Blue Door Cottage! A picturesque setting is the first thing you will notice as you drive in to our Cottage.
We are located within minutes of Sugarcreek, Berlin, and Walnut Creek. After spending your day in Amish Country, come home to peace and quietness where you can watch your favorite movie or enjoy a cup of coffee out on the deck.
If you want to cook, there’s a full kitchen with everything you need. But there are so many wonderful restaurants in the area, you just may not want to cook at all!
We cannot wait to give you an unforgettable experience at our Blue Door Cottage.
We are located on site but far enough away from the Cottage for you to enjoy your privacy.
We love people and hosting you is our greatest joy!

Short Getaway
The property and cottage was very quiet and a great place to unwind. The host had thought of everything and so nicely decorated. Close to all the activities, but far enough away to enjoy the peace. Would highly recommend to anyone considering it.

Great little cottage
We enjoyed staying at this quaint little cottage. It was clean and the host was very easy to contact for any questions. It was situated perfectly to go to every town we wanted to go to. We found that the people in these peaceful little towns were so welcoming. We wore ourselves out each day and rested peacefully in the evenings and slept like babies. Thank you for this experience😉

A great getaway
The cottage was a great find. It was clean and comfortable with a nice, wooded location. The owner was easy to work with and friendly, but not intrusive. If you're looking for a place to stay in Amish Country, this is it.

Wonderful Cottage to Renew
Everything you need is here at this cottage. Located in a quiet corner far from the road, this cottage is the perfect place to rest and reset. Pictures actually show what the cottage looks like. Very cozy and comfortable. We would love to stay here again.

It was great. Quiet, serene, birds singing. Porch was great except for mosquitoes. Sparkling wine was a nice touch. Very clean and a good price.

We came for the 3rd annual Food Independence Summit. After a couple of long, hot, but fun days at the conference, it was great to come back to the cottage and rest and recoup.

Cute Blue Door Cottage
We enjoyed our stay but thought there were a couple of things missing. We brought ingredients to make morning smoothies, but there was no blender. Also because the internet was out the first night, we couldn't play the DVDs we brought because there was no DVD player. Quiet evenings on the deck were fun. It was a good mini vacation away from it all.

Blissful Escape!
The property was very clean, thoughtfully decorated and extremely cozy. Initially, I was a little concerned that the cottage was so close to the host's main house, but once we settled in, we might as well have been in the middle of nowhere - it felt totally private and secluded. Super Great Weekend
The wife and I were looking for a relaxing weekend and we found it. A nice cottage in Amish Country in Ohio. Arrived Saturday did some shopping in Berlin and Millersburg, ate a late lunch, and then got to the Cottage before dark and enjoyed a nice night watching TV and reading. The next day was Sunday so not much open but went to the Ernest Warther Museum in Dover which I highly recommend, then had pizza at Park Street Pizza, they had great salads and pizza. The cottage was cozy and easy to find, we met the owners and they seemed very pleasant. Overall a great weekend.

What a wonderful little escape
A lovely cottage, that while close to the main house, is still so quiet and peaceful. Spent a wonderful rainy night reconnecting and relaxing. The bed is possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. What a lovely hidden gem. Hosts were communicative and welcoming. Had everything we needed. The creek directly behind the cabin was so peaceful and beautiful, and added a wonderful ambience. Highly recommended.

The cabin was auper cute and located on a beautiful, private property. It was clean, perfectly furnished, and just what we were looking for. Esther was a great communicator and understanding when we had a family emergency requiring us to leave early. We will certainly book again in the future.

Quaint and Cozy
What a delight! This is a cozy and comfortable little cottage. It is nestled by a creek with a fire pit and a beautiful hosta bed. Esther and Kim are awesome hosts. They are very attentive to making sure their guests are well taken care of and answer inquiries quickly. You can't go wrong with this cottage.

Cozy Cottage
This was our second year staying at Blue Door Cottage. We enjoyed it so much last year, we decided to stay again. My best friend and I enjoy the peacefulness, and the proximity to all of our favorite places in Amish country. Esther is a wonderful woman who is always so helpful and responds promptly. We will be back again!
