A large, modern 4 bedroom house in Langley Park, close to Durham City.

A spacious four bedroom property in the small village of Langley Park, close to Durham City.

On entry is a hall way with a door through to the lounge and dining room. The dining room has patio doors out to the rear garden which has decking and garden furniture so that guests can relax outside. At the end of the hall way is the fully equip kitchen, complete with fridge freezer, oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. In the kitchen is also a door into the large garage which guests are able to use during their stay. On the first floor is a large double bedroom with fitted wardrobes, seating area and ensuite shower room. Next to the master bedroom is a family bathroom. There are a further two good sized double rooms with drawers and wardrobes, and a fourth bedroom with single bed and built in wardrobe. To the front of the property is a large drive way which is suitable for up to 3 cars with additional parking in the garage and on street.

Just a short walk from the property is a local shop, ice cream shop and pub.

Langley Park is around 10 minutes drive from Durham, though there are busses which run regularly into Durham and surrounding villages. Newcastle is around 30 minutes drive from the property and you can also easily access the Durham Dales for some fabulous walks. Diggerland is close by and Hall Hill Farm is a short drive away.

Home journey
The property was large and nicely decorated. It was in an area we were familiar with as we have family in the area. The property has five steep steps up to the front door with no handrail one of our party has mobility problems so she had to access from the side gate and back door to the property. Although the property was clean inside at the side of the front steps was an open container with broken glass and wine bottles inside. In the description of the property it states access to garage this was not the case we had to park on drive and the road.

Deep clean needed, garden untidy with weeds. Patio furniture green with algae. Lack of bathroom mirror,. Lack of bedside lights with long enough cable to reach sockets. Repair done to bathroom cistern but this then resulted in the cistern leaking onto the floor which was then not repaired (we deal with isolating the water to the cistern to stop the leak). Property seems to have been let to the Local Council (Homeless)? Landlord needs to consider which market they are wishing to persue. There were other aspects that I am not going to detail but overall this was not a relaxing holiday and this property is not fit for the purpose.
