The cottage is nestled in the pretty village of Uley, a short drive from the bustling market town of Stroud in the Gloucestershire countryside. Set on the outside fringes of the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are a number of trails for walking and cycling opportunities to get involved with such as the Laurie Lee Wildlife Way and Stroudwater Canal Walk. Close by is an art cafe, a local village shop, and a local pub serving delicious food, as well as the famous Uley Bury, a local village church, along the Cotswold walk way.
Make sure you visit the nearby town of Stroud for its award-winning farmer’s market, considered to be one of the most popular in the UK. The Stroud district is home to a range of historic houses, such as the 12th century Berkeley Castle, the Elizabethan manor house of Chavenage House, and the Grade listed Frampton Court.
