It’s hard to start positive. Location was good. Price was low - but it should have been lower. From the outset parking was inconvenient. This wouldn’t have been a deal breaker, but…we were given room 303. Third floor? Floor 2 and a half actually. The elevator didn’t stop at this floor. The elevator itself was interesting, maybe even charming but tiny and didn’t feel too reliable. One trip in it was enough for me to use the stairs but careful of one of those steps on the final flight to reception otherwise you really will be flying. Nearly had me twice. Back to the room: Small and clearly just fits everything. Too small for my wife and I and luggage. Constantly bumping into each other. The heat in the room was awful. No aircon but there was a fan that circulated the hot air around. Wait! There was a lovely sash window! With a lovely partial view of the beautiful church and the flat roofs that covered the hotel’s extensions. We opened that sash fully then read the little sticker that said beware of the seagulls. And there they were!! Not more than one meter away, cackling squawking doing basic seagulling at top volume. Not just one but two of the darlings had made the flat roofs their home and were doing a wonderful job of bringing up their two bundles of joy that never ever ever stopped crying. Think high pitched wheezy squeak. No off button. We closed the windows, opened them, closed them. It would be better at night we decided. It wasnt. There is more but I’m out of space
