I used to love to go to Shawnee. The price is reasonable but they really need to update the couches in the villas. They look like they are from the 80’s. The beds were very comfortable, everything else was good in the villa. They should also put in another indoor pool. there is one pool and it was so crowded every time we went there was no more seats and the water was very dirty. They have a big resort and one pool is not enough

Soooo many bugs. It was the poconos and understandable but we had to leave a day early because it was so bad. Staff was very rude and said i should have called maintenance. Carpets and room was very dirty and outdated . I couldn’t let my kids sleep there another night . Convenient location to bushkill - i have stayed at other places in the area before and will pay more and go back there next time

How to get bamboozled
The stay itself was enjoyable. What wasn’t a pleasant experience was being conned into attending a 90 minute presentation to enroll as a Wyndham vacation rental owner. After checking in I was asked to speak with a concierge to obtain wrist bands and listen to a spiel about discounted water park tickets. Before I knew what was going on I was charged $75 in order to receive a 5-7 day cruise certificate which would be validated after attending the 90 minute presentation. Think time share but instead vacation rental membership instead…
