Second floor apartment available for short and long stays, part of a collection of newly converted and fully equipped luxe 1-bed apartments that together form Ashford Yard. Set back from the street behind a gated entrance and overlooking a tranquil courtyard garden, a short walk from the station, beach, pier, shopping and restaurants. No private parking but the surrounding streets are mostly free to park.
The Space:
Recently renovated to a very high standard with a stylish and modern interior and wonderfully bright rooms throughout.
The two tall windows in the lounge overlook the communal garden and let in a lot of natural light. There are oiled oak floors throughout. The fully equipped kitchen has Bosch appliances including an induction hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher. The open plan kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of crockery & cooking utensils for you to enjoy.
There is a round table with two dining chairs and a bench and this doubles as a desk to be used as workspace with a task light and sockets for your laptop. The Wi-Fi is full fibre and fast. The lounge has a comfortable sofa, an armchair and bookshelves and a Smart 4K Ultra HD TV with free Netflix account and Now Entertainment including Sky channels and HBO.
The bedroom features a king size bed with luxury mattress and 300 thread count bed linen. There are also built-in wardrobes with a large hanging space and shelves. Two bedside tables and a tall wall mirror complete the bedroom which has floor to ceiling room darkening curtains to ensure a restful sleep. There is a luxurious shower, clean white towels and eco-friendly toiletries in the bathroom which is fully tiled with brushed brass tapware. In the hallway you’ll find a utility cupboard with washer/dryer, laundry basket and some hanging space for coats or laundry, a drying rack, hoover, sweeping brush and mop.
Guest Access:
Guests have sole access to the apartment and shared access to the private garden.
The Neighborhood:
Just a few minutes’ walk to The Beacon shopping centre with Multiplex Cinema & shopping. Close by the semi-pedestrianised main streets have lots of restaurants, whilst the Beach, Pier, Towner Art Gallery, Theatre, & annual Airshow & Tennis tournament give plenty to do year-round. For nature lovers the beautiful South Downs are on your doorstep.
Getting Around:
Walking is an excellent option for exploring the town centre and its beautiful Victorian seafront, where many attractions are within easy reach. Cycling is popular to with designated bike lanes and rental services available. Eastbourne is well covered by local bus operator Stagecoach South East and you can purchase tickets directly from the bus driver or through their mobile app. Taxis are also readily available and there is a rank at the station. For longer trips, Eastbourne's train station provides connections to major cities like Brighton, London, and Hastings.
Other Things to Note:
To access Ashford Yard: approach the entry gate, enter the code, turn the handle right and pull the gate towards you. You may need to press 'c' for cancel first if somebody has entered an incomplete code before you.
To access your apartment building: approach the door, enter the code and push the door when you hear the buzzer.
To access your apartment: approach the door, place you palm on the touch pad to wake it, enter your unique code, listen for the success sound and then twist the lock and push the door.
