As I entered the cottage, the odor and a tingling sensation from mold and mildew immediately assaulted my senses. Turning on the AC and the ceiling fan, which only worked on high, I realized that the light could not be turned off without also switching off the fan. Inspecting the bed, I found the sheets dirty and stained. The Wi-Fi was inoperative, and the instructions for connecting were incorrect. After reaching out to the owner via the app, a new set of sheets was dropped off but not changed, and the Wi-Fi required a different login than what was displayed in the unit. When my family came over for dinner, the overpowering mildew smell forced my daughter to leave the cottage. Given the cleaning fee, it was evident that the cleaning had not been done properly, benefiting someone other than the renter. I cannot recommend this cottage to anyone. I have taken photos should they be needed. Since it was Labor Day weekend, I had no choice but to stay; otherwise, I would have departed. James Fry
