Wonderful
We had a wonderful few days at this rental. The rental listed is found as detailed in the description. The walk down to the water is steep but has a nice view from the top of the hill and house. During our stay we fished from the pier, used the paddle boats and row boat provided. The lake is not super busy and relatively quiet. Hung out by the fire pit and enjoyed relaxing. The kids and adults enjoyed playing the yard games provided. We went to a few breweries and cheese places that are close. Overall this rental is nice with good communication.

beautiful view
There was plenty of everything in the house. The town has a bar and church so if looking for night life this is not for you. If you want to sit and relax this is the place. The host put out paddleboats for us, and responded right away. He is updating things which will be good for future guests. We were all comfortable, never saw any neighbors. the walk to the lake is a steep hill, but we old ladies managed. He has a couple chickens and ducks which were fun to see. They were NOT noisy.

Great property
We really enjoyed our stay here! We went out on the canoe in the morning and it was so quiet and peaceful out there. The lake did get busier later in the afternoon with jet skiers and water skiers, people fishing etc. The ducks and chickens on the property were a nice surprise:) My son loved that. We will recommend this property to our friends and family!

Brett’s on the Lake
Brett’s home overlooks a pretty lake in a small village. The yard and view are wonderful. Brett provides lots of camp chairs, made for relaxing and soaking in the view. The kitchen and common areas are spacious. There are 1.5 baths and a washer and dryer, which we appreciated. Furnishings are casual, making it a great place for families.

Overwhelming positive experience!
Our family enjoyed our stay. We enjoyed fishing from the shore and from the paddle boats. The neighborhood was quiet. I was really impressed with all of the extras like bags chairs, flotation vests, fire wood, soaps, paper products, and even coffee, tea, and hot chocolate! Great communication with the host! Wonderful experience!

Lake getaway
We enjoyed ourselves, beautiful view of lake. Downside was the hill to the lake and lifting the boat and paddle boat over rocks to get into the water. Stairs down the hill and to have a smooth flat area on the shore to pull the boat into the water would be a plus.

Loved it!
We love Wisconsin! We had a short stay but enjoyed every minute. The property is spotless and has everything you might need. There’s a very picturesque view of the lake. The surrounding areas are all rolling hills, a rather gorgeous site. The town is very tiny but does offer 1 restaurant. It was exactly what we were looking for. Thanks for having us!

Fantastic lake view
The house is very spacious, with 2 nice-sized queen bedrooms, and a 3rd for kids. Plus, the living room, (with a world-class lake view and fun bird feeders) can sleep 3 more adults. All that stuff you think you might need? Leave it at home. Camp chairs and life jackets galore. A smorgasboard of coffee. The hill is a bit steep down to the pier. Overall, wonderful.

Beautiful lake stay
Brett's property was just what we needed for a weekend away with our family. The house had all the things we needed to make ourselves at home (we forgot our shampoo!) and lots of extras. There is a washer and dryer available as well. The view from the living room is breathtaking, and we loved watching the birds at the bird feeders throughout the day. We also saw bald eagles all around the lake. We fished off of the small pier as well as took the canoe and rowboat out on the lake. He also has life jackets, paddles, folding chairs, etc. available. Brett was VERY responsive to questions and requests, and we highly recommend!

Great location on lake
The location is great, right at the lake edge and short driving distance to some nice trails. Brett has boats that are super-easy to take onto the lake - and, maybe because it was cold though - the lake is very quiet and it doesn't appear like there are a lot of lakefront properties with motor boats/jetskis/etc if you prefer more peace. Brett keeps it stocked with firewood, etc. and was very responsive. The photos are very accurate, and the kids really enjoyed the open kitchen-living-dining space.

Great property!
We stayed at Brett’s place for a family get together and it was great. Everything we could have asked for - beautiful view, dock with canoes and paddle boats, fire pit, grill. The house was immaculate and stocked with what we needed. The bedrooms did get stuffy at night but it was also a humid weekend. We would definitely stay again and will recommend. Thanks for being a great host and for the maple syrup!

We had a wonderful time here! The house was clean, with great space from everyone. The kitchen had all we needed and more! Many great things were stocked. There were hand sanitizers and wipes throughout the living room and kitchen. The Wifi and cellular reception were great, which you don't always find in a small rural community. The lake so peaceful and fun for the kids. Brett had paddle boats, canoes, and a rowboat which the kids loved. He also gave us a tour around the lake on his pontoon! If you are looking for a family-friendly hideaway this is it!

Family Lake get-away from the pandemic
The pictures are spot-on because the lake is really just like that - this house has to have the best view on this lake. The kids loved the paddle boats and were eager to get in the canoe and paddle around with me. The fish were awesome even though they were not really biting for us. The lake was quiet - a couple speedboats on the weekend but really very quiet. What's not pictured: 2 bald eagles flying over the lake. Hummingbirds and a rich assortment of local birds at the well-stuffed bird feeders outside the picture window. It's very clean inside -- so I've stayed a few places that were more of a fishing lodge but this place is very clean - great for my toddler to run around. Pricey maybe but to my eye very worth it to visit a quiet lake in northern Wisconsin.

Amazing stay and hospitality!
We choose this place as a nice getaway for our 12 yr old, 1 of her friends and our 6 yr old boy. We are glad we selected this place and will be back! Upon arrival, the home and lawn were remarkably clean. The view to the lake was right there when you walk in! Brett was a great host, attentive but he did not bother at all. He was a great resource for the questions we had and even took us on a boat ride around the lake! As an avid fisherman, I was pleased with the success we had fishing from the dock and even more success in the rowboat that was included! All safety and cleanliness matters were well addressed and the home is equipped with everything you need. We will absolutely be recommending this spot to our friends in the future.

Nice enough
Upon arriving for our 5 day stay, the lawn hadn’t been mowed in a week. Towels and linens were threadbare, so was glad I brought my own. The couches were covered in bedsheets, which was odd. The unit had one air conditioner in the house which was in the dining room - on the opposite ends of the bedrooms. Having the washer dryer available was nice. There is a 30 foot steep slope from the top yard to the dock and no steps. Was hard to enjoy the yard with the long grass and without tipping towards the lake. Could definitely use some new beds in the bigger bedrooms. The lakeshore wasn’t exactly swimmable for the kids. No ladder to get on the dock, had to walk over slippery rocks to get in/out the water. The lake is a glorified retention pond so after it rained the dock was under water and the water was so brown you couldn’t fish. It definitely didn’t feel like the effort was put in to spruce this property up at all. Also, the owner stopped by twice, unannounced (the whole point of going there was to have a social distance vacation) next time, just send a text that you will be on property on whatever days to fill the feeders and water the plants. I guess this is a fine place to stay if you just need a stopover and not some place that I would assume had all of the amenities of a lake house.
