We loved the quiet and peaceful setting. Rooms were clean and well kept. Staff was very professional and friendly. View from our room onto the golf course was relaxing. Only drawback was the continental breakfast. For the money, a few more selections would be nice. What was served was very good though.

Cute little hideaway
Cute little hideaway. Loved seeing deer on the golf course outside my window when I woke up. Itā€™s an older place with older decor, nostalgic but is so clean, quiet and comfortable. Wi-Fi was very good, TV channel selection good, mini fridge in the room. All the basics of being at home. Staff is very friendly and attentive! 2-3 miles drive away from the ā€˜cityā€™ so itā€™s very peaceful outside. Outside Pool and hot tub all well-maintained. Great little spot!

Out of the way location
A nice spacious location in Aiken. Tucked in off a main road with easy access to food and shopping. The rooms are a bit dated but in good repair and the walls are thin, but the noise was kept to a minimum by the guests. I had a nice size refrigerator and a microwave in the room for convenience. There is an 18 hole golf course, pool and tennis/pickle-ball courts on the property also. Along with a clubhouse which serves meals. I met Pete the General Manager, a good man who cares about the hotel and it's guests. He's a Pittsburgh Steelers fan also, but I won't hold that against him! I plan to return on my next trip to Aiken.

The Inn at Houndslake is an older property and probably could benefit from a ā€œfresheningā€ but that didnā€™t really make a difference in how nice my stay was there. We paid a fortune to stay at The Greenbrier in WVa and it too is in need of a facelift. The front desk gentleman could have not been any more accommodating and welcoming at the Inn at Houndslake. I was traveling alone for an equestrian event and felt extremely safe. My room was clean and fresh. And I slept the best I ever had in my bed there, only surpassed by the beds at the Pinehurst Inn. I will definitely be staying again thee next time Iā€™m in Aiken.

The staff was fantastic. The mattresses were amazing, and there is a very large (and clean) pool. I wish the breakfast was a bit more full when we got there at 7:45, but otherwise would definitely return!!
