Summary:
Greenbank Cottage is a charming well-presented cottage benefitting from a spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen, an open outlook to the Village Green and three bedrooms. It is situated within the centre of the popular village of Gifford in easy walking distance of the shops, park, restaurants and other amenities. The country pursuits which East Lothian is famous for are within easy reach.

The Space:
The accommodation is arranged over 3 floors and comprises of a bright and spacious open plan living/dining/kitchen area with double aspect windows.

There are 2 comfortable double bedrooms and a family bathroom on the 1st floor and a further double bedroom with WC on the top floor.

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire home! My apartment is managed on my behalf by Hotel Around Town, a locally based property management team who work hard to make sure your stay is smooth and comfortable!

The Neighborhood:
Gifford offers excellent local facilities including two country pubs and two local golf courses. The market town of Haddington, approximately four miles away, provides a wider range of shops, a Tesco supermarket, a leisure centre and a high school.

Getting Around:
Edinburgh can easily be reached in approximately 35 minutes by car and there are excellent rail links to the City at Drem and Longniddry, which are approximately 15 minutes away by car.

Edinburgh
We had a very nice time at our stay in Gifford. The town is quaint and in a beautiful setting. We were visiting Edinburgh so had to take a taxi to Haddington then bus to Edinburgh so keep that in mind if you’re not renting a car. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. The only issue we had was with the internet going out but we appreciated the management company responding quickly to help us resolve.

Cosy cottage in fantastic location
Perfect situation for dog walking and exploring the local area. Beautiful beaches, pretty villages and an amazing forest complete with river and ancient castle ruins. Friendly pub, village store and tea room in the village. What more could you ask for? We will be back!

Quiet and comfortable
We had been looking for a place to stay when our daughter had an interview at the Edinburgh University. This was the closest for a reasonable price at the time. In general it is a nice place to stay, comfortable and clean. A commute to Edinburgh takes about 30 mins. We also went to Falkirk, about 1hr drive which was also a quite easy trip. Disadvantages: a halfbroken iron, the lack of washing machine and a double bed in one of the bedrooms when we put our boys, 15 and 9, together. But otherwise we would recommend it as a really nice place to stay within a reasonable distance from Edinburgh and for more than a reasonable price.

Family Time in Gifford
We had a family reunion in Scotland, this property was perfect for our needs, we were 4 adults and 2 children. We loved the village too! All in all a great week spent in very pleasant surroundings.

A Green haven of Peace and Quiet
We really enjoyed our stay in Gifford. Family get together with five adults and our grandson aged nearly 2 had a wonderful time. The house is spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. When we are in the area next time, we shall be coming back.
