Located in the inner suburbs of the city, Clarin House offers a smart, comfortable and pleasantly surprising place to rest during our stay in Scotland's capital. Situated on a quiet, residential street, the guesthouse is either a 25-minute walk to the city centre or a 10 min taxi, depending on traffic. The guesthouse owners were lovely and welcoming and provided ironing facilities on request and the room was cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis. The room itself was very pleasant in that the bed was large and comfortable and the room itself was spacious and offered tea, coffee and biscuits. Negatives about Clarin House is that the shower in our room was weak and not particularly hot. Also, breakfast is no longer offered, although you should know that when you book. The car parking facilities could also be made more clear on the website. I would definitely return to Clarin House, especially if they decided to return to providing a hot cooked breakfast. Worth a stay.
