We had an issue upon arrival they couldn’t find our booking which was booked and paid in full 5 months before, I was actually charged for someone else’s room until I seen the cost was wrong and then found my receipt this was refunded back . They did eventually sort the booking and gave us free parking and a couple of drinks at the bar as a good will gestur.

Did request 2rooms close by each other. The hotel did not help in thus request on arrival as we were 5hrs late due to weather conditions. However next morning we changed a room to be nearer. Good was good and so we're rooms. Staff were very helpful. Good all round hotel.

Being an Express there was no Room Service, but the helpful Staff gave us many different options to choose from which suited our needs. We really enjoyed the cooked breakfast which was included in our Room Rate.

Superb value for money on Sunday night stay
Great value for money when staying Sunday (breakfast included). Brilliant location with tramline stop up the road and everything needed room wise. However asked for a quiet room, but sleeptime was disrupted by what we can only think was a staff locker room above room 125? Don’t think it was a hotel guest as sounded like doors closing every so often (there are no cupboards in hotel room!). This woke us every time it happened throughout the night and after 6am, we never got back to sleep 😩

Maybe skip the breakfast.
Very friendly staff. The bed was comfortable with a choice of firm or soft pillows. I tried the inclusive breakfast on one of the 4 days of my stay. It was ok but low quality sausages and cold, soggy hash browns. I didn’t return for breakfast in other days. Nice location close to The Shore in Leith with plenty of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops, and some stunning views.

Had a few problems getting there as we got of the tram at the wrong Holiday Inn Express so had a two mile walk, gratefully downhill. When we got there realised the real tram stop was only 100m away...very conveniant for the rest of the trip. Nice room, very nice staff, and a good restaurant with an all inclusive breakfast which was very comprehensive to others we have experienced. A nice four day stay.

The only issues we had were: 1} Queueing for breakfast - we were down by 8am but those who were later (after 8.30am) had a 20 mins plus wait to get seated. 2}Paying for Parking - must be done within 20 mins or driving in - need to use the machine in the Foyer as a lot easier than the App which is quite a pain to use Apart from that no issues.

We welcomed by a friendly young lady, it was nice. Close to Tram station to City Center (app.20 min.) - Breakfast area is smaller than the whole amount of Guests. So we had to wait on the line every day. - The choices of Breakfast menu was average. - Room needs to be updated.

Great customer service on check in and very speedy. Good sized room, good amenities/features (i.e usb sockets, decent hairdryer). Good size bathroom and great feature that the door doubles as a door for the toilet and bathroom as a whole. Bathroom could have been cleaner, some hairs left around the sink. Breakfast on the first day was great, plenty of food, cups, plates etc, however day 2 was a different story. Almost all the food items were empty and not replenished very quickly. The table we were allocated we had placed our drinks on before going to get food, came back and someone else had been reallocated our table. There is a shopping mall near to the hotel but not much else. Good transport connections to the centre of Edinburgh though (bus, tram, not too far for a taxi either).
