The ocean is a mere 30 strides away from Villa Las Olas, and the views of the sea and the Gulf of Papagayo from our patio and pool are worthy of a travel magazine! Bahia Pez Vela, a community of only 40 privately-owned homes, is the only development on this secluded and beautiful Blue Flag beach, and uniquely imparts a sense of unmatched exclusivity and luxury.

The large private jetted infinity pool and beachfront location make Villa Las Olas the premier home in the community. The pool shines at night. Mesmerizing lights dance off the fountain and the swaying palms above and night sounds of the adjacent forest lull as the jets swirl luxuriously warm waters around tired bodies.

The pool area is the work of Costa Rican architect Juan Roca and was featured in Su Casa architecture magazine. The Italian tumbled travertine stone and a sleek teak deck are paired with Costa Rican-made Castelle outdoor lounges, dining, and deep-seating conversation pieces.

Our home provides ample room for up to six adults and two children, but is still intimate enough for traveling twosomes. Two of the three generously sized bedrooms are ocean-front, which makes the set-up ideal for two couples or families. The third bedroom can be set up with a King or two Twin beds.

The newly-remodeled and fully-equipped kitchen provide options for home-cooked meals or in-home chef services, The full-size washer and dryer are convenient for those who travel light. Three light-filled bathrooms are newly remodeled with high-end finishes. All furnishings are fresh and tropical, but also practical and child-worthy. Kitchen, bedroom and bath linens are provided, as well as pool towels.

Our home is air-conditioned with individual controls in each bedroom. Some like it cool, while others prefer an overhead fan and an open window to enjoy the pleasant ocean breezes and sounds.

The beach is alive with a seasonally-changing array of inhabitants. Breeching whales, hatching baby turtles, skipping dolphins, hermit crabs, and magical tide pool critters are all here. So are parakeets, tiger herons, blue-green mot mots, and howler monkeys, all of which are most active and morning coffee and evening cocktail times.

The Bahia Pez Vela Resort community provides a full array of concierge, business, maid, maintenance, and gardening services, as well as 24/7 security. Cesar and Jacky are available to help you make arrangements for your Costa Rican adventures. Ziplining, hot springs, wildlife tours and cloud forest visits are popular, but don’t forget the cooking schools, horseback rides, paddle-boarding and poolside massages!

The property offers an on-site open air restaurant that provides breakfast, lunch and dinner service.

If yours is a working vacation, fiber-optic high-speed WiFi is available throughout our home and on the outdoor patio. Cellular service is strong, and Skype, WhatsApp and FaceTime work exceptionally well. Basic office services are available from our Reception Office team. And if you need access to North American television, the living room has an enhanced HD cable TV service which brings in North American cable media outlets.

An amazing experience!
Villa 4 at Bahia Pez Vela was such a gem! The house and amenities were perfect and just as described. The private pool is bigger than I imagined and so perfect after having been at the beach all day. The jets were a game changer! The kitchen is huge with everything you could need and the washer/dryer came in handy as well. Once booked, LaRaye sent very detailed notes regarding the property and extremely useful tips and recommendations. Caesar at the property was very accommodating and helpful with booking transfers and activities. Second time coming to Costa Rica and I will definitely be back to this villa! LOVED it!

Paradise!
We loved everything about this place. Not only was it situated in the middle of paradise (literally), but it was also on the perfect lot at the end of the street, the pool was luxurious, and the inside was clean, well-equipped, and very very comfortable. We wanted for nothing because it was well stocked. The only thing we missed was a pizza cutter! But the knives worked great. Awesome place - we really do hope to be back again someday very soon. It was paradise!

Best family vacation ever!
The property was unique and wonderful. Our host, LaRaye, made the process easy and had great suggestions on activities, restaurants, etc. Cesar and Jacky in the office exceeded expectations, and the other property staff was friendly and helpful. When you combine all of this with the location and warm people of Costa Rica, this was a vacation our family will never forget and we will be back. Pura Vida!

Stunning setting in an amazing villa
LaRaye was very nice and responsive to our questions and suggestions. Her villa was beautiful and the setting being right on the beach was perfect along with our own private pool. Loved it! Cesar was so helpful with making accommodations for transportation shuttles, car rental, excursions recommendations. He was a pleasure to work with. LaRaye recommended Betty for massages which Cesar arranged once again. Betty gave us the best massage in our villa. The resort staff was very attentive and so friendly too! Father Rooster is a must too for dinner. We did the Heliconias, Guacheplin Full Adventure and Sailing/Snorkeling excursions were a must! The tour guides were amazing especially Daniel. Wonderful townhouse with gorgeous setting. Ocean views, private pool, fairly close to town. Stock up on groceries cuz the kitchen is great and the on-site restaurant is pretty spendy. Be sure to get massage and go on tours recommended by reception area. We had a car and liked going to Coco Beach. The catamaran tour was great. Rainforest tour was a show stopper. Will be back.

We had an amazing time at a fantastic property! The property was clean and very well appointed. You couldn’t ask for a more picturesque setting, with a private pool and ocean just a few steps away. The beach location is very Costa Rica
We loved the beach and pool. The villa is very spacious and fully equipped kitchen. The views are beautiful and the water was so warm. The patio couches and inside couches are worn but we did not mind. Kitchen is updated. Floats and snorkel masks would have been a great addition. Cesar and Jacky are the best at helping with your visit. The restaurant food was very good but for every visit allow an hour plus to receive food. Drinks were good and staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, we chose to skip eating there at the end due to the long wait after ordering. The grounds are pristine and very clean. We would highly recommend our villa and this location. Be prepared for bumpy roads and you will need to arrange drivers for transportationWe did not get a car and loved having transportation set up by Cesar or Jacky. The beach is public but not very crowded due to location .Our personal pool was worth it, truly pure vida!

The house is everything promised to be. As part of a resort there is easy access to amenities such as a top notch restaurant and bar. The staff arranged for us to go kayaking along the coast which added to the glory of the beach, sun, ocean and pools. The location is both remote yet close enough to stores and restaurants. Highly recommended! Our host was very attentive to our needs. Finally villa 4 has its own small pool which is a bonus and it’s is right on the beach and n ar bar/restaurant. View and ocean sounds spectacular.

Beautiful Villa - Wonderful Vacation
My family of four (w/ 7yr old and 9yr old) thoroughly enjoyed our 12 day trip. The villa was as described. In fact, the photos don't do it justice. The beach is right there which provides an unobstructed view and easy access. The villa was clean and comfortable. It has everything we needed including modern appliances like the dishwasher and washer/dryer. Bedrooms are a nice size, plenty of closet space, and comfy beds. Two of the three bedrooms provide breathtaking views of the pool and beach. The master has a deck and bathroom. The pool was great. Nice temperature and regularly cleaned during our stay. Pool depth ranged from 3-5ft. Pool lounge chairs and a few pool toys were provided. You may want to bring/purchase more toys for the kids to keep them entertained. So many animals around the villa to admire - including mapaches, howler monkeys, lizards, iguanas, all types of birds. We had regular visitors during our stay. Our kids even named them! 15 mins from Coco. Definitely recommend renting a car to get around. You can't walk. But beware of some challenging terrain, especially approching the terrain. The mosquitoes and ants were pests but that was expected. Everyone we met at the resort were wonderful. Cesar and Jacky were great to deal with. They were very responsive but not overbearing. They helped with our rental car, answered any questions we had during the stay, and booked our excursions. Great trip!

Excellent week in Villa 4
All of the reviews are spot on. Perfect for our family of 4, but can surely accommodate more. We were the envy of our neighbors with the private, infinity pool. Being able to snorkel at the beach 50 ft from the home then come back and relax in the pool was the perfect combination. Inside and out, Villa 4 was everything we needed. LaRaye was so quick to respond to every question and the check in/check out process was seamless. The property is great because it has the restaurant within a 30 second walk and is so close to ocotel and coco beach. You can even take the short cut to ocotel during low ride across the rocks. We found the best snorkeling at this beach. It was like being in an aquarium. Great location, great property, and an ideal setting. We will be back.

Wonderful Stay In Costa Rica
This is our 4th time at Bahia Pez Villa but our first time in Villa #4 and it did not disappoint. We obviously love coming to the area, the people, the resort itself - all beautiful and perfect. Don't hesitate to visit! Specifically about Villa #4: Location - The location couldn't be more perfect. It's on the very front row of the Villa's meaning you have direct beach and beach club access. You can walk out of your back door and onto the beach or over to the restaurant/pool area. I've stayed higher up once before and I will pick the front group every single time if I can get it. It's 100% worth it. Inside: Everything was perfect. The decor had been updated, the kitchen and all areas were well stocked with things we needed, there wasn't a time I looked for something that I would've expected to be there and couldn't find it. Beds were very comfortable, nice sized washer and dryer. Back patio: The pool is a very nice touch. While the clubhouse has a nice pool and it's very walkable from the villa, it was so nice to be able to hang out at the house and some be in the pool. I think the teenagers got in every single night. Communication: The communication with the owner couldn't have been better. Everything went smooth, was laid out well and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I book VRBO's around the world and this was one of the easiest to work with. Highly recommend everything about staying here!

Great family vacation
This place exceeded all expectations. From the start instructions and information provided before we even left for our trip were clear and helpful. The check in process was seamless. Prior to arrival we reached out to the concierge on site, Cesar, who was amazing and set up airport transfers, a rental car, and tours for our stay. He and Abi were super helpful during our stay, made our vacation that much better. The home is as described and very clean. The views are incredible and the beach is almost in the back yard. We were able to see birds, crabs and howler monkeys from the house. The complex is not large and was pretty quiet during our stay. The staff at the restaurant were always friendly and the food and drinks excellent. We had smaller children and very safe and comfortable staying at this place. We would absolutely stay here again, was an amazing place for a family vacation.

Best unit by far
The other great reviews are spot on. This unit is the best- has its own pool, is right on the ocean, and is very private. The kitchen is very well stocked, the bathrooms are clean and updated, and overall I can’t think of any concerns we had. We enjoyed several restaurants in town (including Masala Indian Restaurant and Sabor a Mexico, both excellent). It was easy to pop into town for groceries or restaurants and then head back to the condo in this quiet, uncrowded area with the calm beach that we often had to ourselves. We did snorkel a bit and took two kayaks out which was fun- the ocean is so calm and blue at this beach. It was a beautiful stay. We hope to be back.

It was a wonderful stay and cannot say enough about the location. Literally 50 paces from the beach. The cleanliness as well as the people in the office responding quickly to anything we needed and LaRaye was amazing. Highly recommend this rental.

Wonderful Home with a beautiful view.
We had a wonderful stay at LaRaye’s beautiful home. The home is in a beautiful gated community and has the best location. The home has everything you need and more. It was fantastic to come home after exploring for the day and to be able to relax in the pool. We enjoyed eating our meals on the patio and listening to the sound of the waves. Thank you LaRaye for making your home available and for making everything easy and enjoyable.

Superlative spot!
The “villa” is located in a very magical spot…the views, surroundings and the resort staff/service as well as the restaurant are extremely special! This is just one of those places that stands out…not because of “typical luxury” but for its simplicity (so easy to snorkel, swim in mild clear ocean waters and then swim and relax in your private pool —-within an hour!!—and without getting in a car!!!). The Villa is just as described and pictured…the kitchen has everything you could need! The owners comprehensive notes and suggestions should be heeded…we went on several excursions she recommended and they were spectacular! We hope to return!!!
