The parking situation was very inconveneient and i was not notified prior to booking that it would be so far ro park. Also staff refused to allow me to use cash as a deposit on the room instead of a credit card, which i have done numerous times before. They were going to turn us away from our booking.

I always stayed here no problem for years. This time because of construction there was lots of confusion on how to enter the hotel . There was 4 adults and 1 yr old child waited in a car outside in the rain for for almost 1/2 hr. It wasn’t the employee fault there was miscommunication but definitely should be more signs and direction on how to enter hotel . Thankful for the lady who worked downstairs in the linen , wasn’t your job to help us but you did and we greatly appreciated!!

The hotel entrance is lovely. The rooms are very dated, which would be okay if they were clean. Our room had questionable marks on the wall in the bathroom that we were able to easily clean off. The wall around the window had leaked and the wallpaper was coming loose. There were more dirty spots on the wall by the desk. It looked like food was wiped on there. The headboard was crooked on one bed, and the other one was so close to the outlet that it flickered the lamp when you sat on the bed haha It was affordable, the beds seemed clean, but honestly the rooms need to be updated, and the walls need a good clean. Especially in the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly. The room was clean. There are pedways around the property that connect to Scotia Square Mall and Purdy's Wharf. We were going to the casino and didnt even have to go outside. Since it was pouring rain, this was a great benefit.

Upon arrival they were not able to find our reservation. No apology for the very long check in. Once in the room, it was quite dirty. There was a water bottle behind the chair that appeared to have been there a while.

The property itself is beautiful, with a nice vibe to it. But for the cost, the tv did not work properly- we had to switch the channels by pressing the buttons in numerical order and settling on the first thing we liked. The mirror in the bathroom was not properly cleaned as when we got out from our showers we thought we were being pranked by the other because it said "I see you" in feminine hand writting on the fogged up mirror. The pool thats advertised was unaccessible due to the rain? Which i didnt think would be a problem but the rain was just pouring in on to the carpet and it didnt look like it was supposed to do that at all, so im not sure what that was about but we didnt get to experience it because of that. The restaurant that was there [Tempo] was supposed to be open at 7am but by a 7:54am no one was in sight to open it, no explanation why. Overall, the rooms are cute and seem clean just simple misses, the staff all around were amazing, the lobby was beautiful and even tho the weather was crappy, there were things to look at and a restaurant all within walking distance, without going outside thanks to the scotia square. Pick and choose your battles, but i did have a good time and slept phenomenally, the beds are great! Also! We checked in later in the evening, afraid to no get anything to eat but thankfully the Boston Pizza thats downstairs was open until1am on fridays and saturdays! Another huge win for the hotel location. 3.5/5 stars!!
