We chose this location completely at random when looking for a long, quiet weekend away from the hustle and bustle of parenting young, active kids and a hectic work schedule. We were in the right place! The home was clean, the AC unit was cold, and they provided more convenience items than any other Vrbo we have stayed in (paper towels, toilet paper, etc). The dock and beach lookout provided the most amazing sunset view with dolphins just feet away. The hosts were kind and responsive.
The local beaches are calm with gentle waves. Englewood Beach was really busy but we loved Manasota Key Beach and Boca Grande (worth the drive). If you love nature, this is the place for you.
With it being the off season, many places were closed or had very limited hours. However, we still found great places to eat. If you’re looking for a local, friendly place to grab a sandwich or a delicious take home meal for later, hit up Larry’s Lunchbox before noon. Great people and amazing breakfast sandwiches.
