This home is located at the very near end of the road and is very private and secluded. You can still walk to the activities at Wallowa Lake but still be secluded and enjoy quiet time with your family. Two different mountain views and the seclusion are only two of the points people rave about when describing this log home!
The open floor plan between the kitchen and the living room makes it great for families and groups who wouldn't want to stay apart from each other. The living room offers leather furniture, a flatscreen TV, a propane stove, and large picture windows that look out onto the wraparound deck and have beautiful mountain views of Mt. Howard. The open floor plan leads you into the kitchen that has new granite countertops in 2018. Take the double sliding doors out onto the wraparound deck that has lots of outside seating and a BBQ for your use. Go down the hall from the kitchen area to the main bathroom with double vanity, washer and dryer, and a shower/tub combo. The two bedrooms are just across the hall from each other and are just steps from the bathroom.
From the living room area, climb a flight of stairs to get to two additional bedrooms, an open banister loft with another flatscreen TV, and access to a small upper deck with a view of Mt. Howard. This beautiful home comes with a fun story. Can you believe this home was constructed from start to finish in less than 60 days? It's true!
THINGS TO KNOW
Seasonal bbqs are available from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. BBQs are propane and tanks are provided. We strongly encourage you to review your tank level in the morning and if a replacement is needed please reach out to your local contact for a tank replacement.
Limited WiFi is available, as this is a rural area.
The common space sofa bed provides an extra sleeping space.
Even in the summer months, it is helpful to get to the house using 4x4 or LOW in an automatic transmission. It helps to not tear up the roads. This home is available year-round, but a 4x4 is required (and chains are optional and optimal) for access in the winter months.
Occupancy and parking can not be exceeded.
No fires or firepits are ever allowed, due to the heavy timbered area and county restrictions but the propane fireplace is allowed.
Winter Rentals: We always recommend 4x4, chains or studded tires to get to our winter open houses. Some renters have better traction tires and can access the homes without them but we don't recommend it. Also, weather changes rapidly in our mountain location. We always suggest preparing for the worst. Also, many Les Schwab Tire Centers have the ability to purchase tire chains, and if you don't use them, will take them on return.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
