Cozy Chalet near Crystal Mountain and Rainier

Welcome to my little escape.
*Recent upgrades: new deck front and rear, new slate floor with in floor heat, new carpet, new bedding and curtains*
The 960sf chalet style cabin is just past the town of Greenwater (last stop for gas, general store, and cafe) en route to Crystal Mountain. You are walking distance to the Crystal River Ranch clubhouse which has a playground, games, and my kids’ favorite: air hockey.

The development is a great place for young bikers to explore with minimal traffic and flat roads. There is access to the rivers via the picnic site (no fishing, stony, dangerous, but beautiful).
The cabin has 1 bedroom with a queen bed on main floor and a large open rafter loft with a king and two twin beds. The beds are comfortable. The skylights let in some light and are openable.
The propane stove does a nice job and sets the mood. The laundry room is by the front door, a good place to stash ski gear and pop it right in the dryer. Six people is the maximum, with one small bathroom, four or five people is comfortable.
The cabin is modest. I find the simplicity refreshing, and we come out here to be in nature, right? I will leave my local hiking book there, a list of my favorites, and WAshington Trails Association is my go-to resource for hikes, providing all the info and recent trip reports.
You can beat the traffic and be at the mountain in 15 minutes or so. Careful for ice on the road early in the morning. Internet is there to help you get the latest weather info and stay in touch with friends, as cell service is spotty. Apple TV is connected to the 43inch TV.

Elk are often in the yard. Respect these massive creatures by keeping your distance.

Lovely dwelling, good location
The prooerty is very clean and well appointed. Great bed. Well stocked. Directions to property need a bit of correction. Directions note fire station 7 miles ffom Greenwater as marker to watch for. We believe this should be corrected to read seven tenths of a mile. We had a very nice stay!

Great House!!!
This was a great place to stay to ski/ride Crystal Mountain! The house was exactly as described. The heated floor and propane stove made it very comfortable in the cold weather. Everything was clean and worked properly. You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in the house. You can’t go wrong staying here for a trip to the Crystal Mountain area. This is one of the best places I’ve stayed in.

Nice cabin, with a few small issues
The cabin was comfortable and clean. Mostly as advertised. One issue is that we had almost no hot water during our two-night stay. The water was lukewarm at best, so we were not able to shower. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Cozy Cabin
We stayed in the cabin for a short ski trip to Crystal. The cabin is close to the mountain and the few amenities in Greenwater. The cabin was perfect for what we needed - comfortable and convenient lodging. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. We would gladly stay again!

We loved the cabin!
And would stay again! There is a new comfy couch that's not in the photo. It's very cute and cozy inside. We had everything we needed. We were there for hiking. It was nice to come back to the cabin and take a hot shower or bath and make a meal. There is a nice deck out back to look out into the trees. I went over to the ranch to say hello to the horses. They were very sweet.

Great little place close to Mt. Rainier
It worked well for us and was a great location for exploring Mt.Rainier. I would note that it does not have a lot of kitchen supplies and spices so bring your own. We also could not get the TV to work so it just forced us outside more.

Great short trip
Location was about as good as you can get around Crystal Mountain. Place was clean and had all the little extra you don’t think about. Was nice that it had full dish ware and cooking items and nice bonus with keurig pods. Definitely recommend.

Nice Cabin many issues.
We were greeted by trash covering the parking area including bags of feces. Inside was nice however the wifi wasn't working. Reset dozens of times with no luck. Hard to keep a toddler busy without a little tv help. Found many kids vhs tapes but no cords to hook up the vcr. Can't contact management with no cell service and no wifi. Kitchen was smelly, found that the dishwasher washer was full and STUNK. We ran it and that seemed to help. Nice Cabin, comfy beds, well set up. Wish the other things went better.

The Vacation We Needed
My partner and I were looking for a smaller place with a cabin feel that was near Crystal. This chalet had it all and our host laid out all the details perfectly. The heated floors and gas stove kept the place warm after skiing all day. If you’re a small family or a pair of couples looking for a place to cut your commute to the mountain, you can stop searching — this place is your destination.

Great launchpad for skiing at Crystal
Perfect for a family or group ski trip of 3-4 people. Easy access from the highway but far enough away to not hear it. Basic kitchen setup with enough cookware and dinnerware to make and serve most meals. Overall, a great place to stay.

Awesome Place to Stay
It's a nice little property, perfect for 2 or 3 people. There was a power outage but the property owner was super helpful during it. It's a short drive up the mountain and we got lots of skiing time in couldn't be happier.

Early winter showshoeing weekend
Great stay for an early season showshoeing and hiking weekend with my son. Quiet place that is conveniently located for exploring Crystal Mountain and hiking from several trailheads on SR 410. Kitchen has all the basics. The propane stove heated the place and provided good ambiance. Would not hesitate to come back here again.

Only two knocks on this property
They need a pizza cutter and had to pick up garbage from the neighbors dog or raccoons knocking over the garbage can twice. Even with the latch on the can.

Very nice and quiet stay
Perfect little place to stay Very clean the beds are comfy 20 minutes from the gondola ride at Crystal mountain and about 40 minutes up to sunrise in Rainier Park We brought our own food for dinner There are a few supplies in the kitchen pantry My only complaint really is there was no TV service there is a DVD player but it was not hooked up and the cables were not available There was only my wife and my granddaughter But there would be plenty of room for two couples
