Son Melt (tourist registration number: TI/206) is a small and intimate accommodation where every last detail has been pampered to create a cosy and serene atmosphere that will make your stay in Mallorca unforgettable. It is a Mediterranean-style building with 6 double rooms with en-suite bathrooms, smartTV, coffee maker, fridge and all amenities. In addition to the common areas such as a large terrace with chairs and tables, they also have a multipurpose lounge. The superior quality rooms have views of the Tramuntana and have two single beds that can be joined upon request.

The location is ideal as cycling and hiking routes to the Serra de Tramuntana pass right through the door of Son Melt. In less than 20 minutes by car you will reach the wonderful "Port des Canontge" (a spectacular cove that takes you back many years). It is just 22 minutes by taxi from the Airport (approximate cost: 30ā‚¬), about 18 minutes by car from Palma, and 2 minutes walk from the main street of Esporles where the commercial and leisure activity of the town (all kinds of cafes and restaurants) is located. The area has numerous delicatessens with fresh fruit and Mallorcan products.

Not what we expected but in the end ok
So first of all finding this house was not easy. If you come by car finding a parking spot will not be easy and unloading is somewhat of a challenge bc thereā€™s no place to stop and do so. The streets are super narrow where the house is so driving around trying to find it was very stressful. When we finally found it, it was easy to get in with the code and the instructions they sent included a pic of the keypad so this was helpful. There is NO ONE on the premises for questions. We had to do everything via whatā€™s app texts. We asked for their largest apartment/room and were prepared to pay for it and did pay the top price. When we got into the room it was super tiny with slanted ceilings. No place to put your luggage and it was not clear how to turn on the AC. The house is all very newly remodeled and nicely done in a scant modern style. However my husband is very tall so this room was a disaster for us. I thought my email and messaging were clear what we wanted/needed but apparently not. When I was texting with them they person actually told me to calm down.. very rude. Perhaps this was just somehow lost in translation but I was very disappointed. The picture they show you of the space you are renting is not what we actually got. The room they showed had large windows and lots of light with a door opening to the outside where you can look out and let fresh air in. Too bad thereā€™s no way to post pics here. It was a shock to see what I thought I was getting and what I actually got. When I complained they said, ā€œyou rented room 6 and this is what you gotā€. End of story, no discussion, when in fact I didnā€™t rent a room number at all. This wasnā€™t even an option. I for what I got. When I asked if someone was there to help with the AC they said perhaps tmrw if Iā€™m lucky there will be a cleaning person or the owner. Eventually we gave up with the ac and went for dinner and when we returned it was working, my husband is an engineer and we couldnā€™t figure it out. All of this could have been avoided with good instructions how this all worked and if they at the beginning advertised each room separately so you knew what you were getting. Btw the bathroom is so tiny you can shower and sit on the toilet at the same time and the person standing in the room gets to watch you bc itā€™s all glass. So if you are shy this isnā€™t gonna work for you. We will not return to this place. The town is cute but honestly unless you are cycling or hiking it makes no sense to stay.

Es war wunderbar! Der Ort Esporles ist traumhaft und die Unterkunft ganz groƟartig. Zentral gelegen fĆ¼r AusflĆ¼ge ins Gebirge, nach Palma oder in den Norden. Das Zimmer bietet alles was man braucht. Wir mochten den puristischen Stil sehr. Elegant. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
