The pavilion style has fabulous vaulted ceilings and a wrap around timber verandah. Designed by award winning Bush Pavilion Homes, the house offers space and tranquility only minutes from town, this property is perfect for a group or large family. The interiors are a modern fusion of east meets west, luxurious yet comfortable. For those who love to cook,the gourmet kitchen is idyllic, with top of the range stainless steel appliances and a great espresso machine. The open plan living and dining area offers timber bi-fold doors opening up the house to bring the outdoors in, including the beautiful sea breeze! Enjoying a leisurely breakfast here is true and unparalleled bliss.

The separate main bedroom pavilion offers luxurious seclusion.The spacious bedroom with ensuite, TV and own deck area is a perfect hideaway for couples. There is a fully fenced pool area, outside shower, separate toilet and laundry space. A single carport under the house with additional space in the driveway too. The house caters well for either a set of couples enjoying their own private areas while taking a relaxing holiday together, or a large family sleeping 6. All guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Dark, damp and dirty
It rained most of the time we were there which meant everything felt damp all the time. On the days it warmed up, it was impossible to sleep because of the lack of a/c. You had to constantly be cleaning to stop ants invading. The propert desperately needs some TLC.

Plenty of room for our multi age family. Loved the pool and verandahs. House was very well stocked with everything you could need. Would have preferred to pick up key at the house rather than go into byron. Other than that, perfect.

Amazing house!
We stayed in February 2020 for over a week and thought this property was great. It's in a good location, about 15 minutes into busy Byron Bay or just a little longer into slower-paced villages like Lennox Head, Bangalow and Brunswick Heads. Ballina airport is about 30 minutes away. Communication with the local managers was excellent and timely. They very kindly gave us notice of some small issues, caused by recent weather events, which didn't affect our stay at all but were nice to know about. Check in and out was easy, quick and friendly. The house is in a residential area and neighbours are fairly close, although well shielded by the gardens. Harkia is set on a huge block with beautiful gardens which the north-facing balconies offer a great view of. The block is very steep but the driveway offers access to the door, so you don't need to contend with many steps if that's an issue. The main living area, 2-bedrooms, (a queen, and two singles) the separate bedroom pavilion, and the swimming pool are all on one level, with another bedroom upstairs and laundry and under cover parking downstairs. The kitchen is really well appointed with everything you need to cook as much (or as little!) as you want. The finishings and linen are all beautiful quality - I thought the beds were super-comfortable. The pool area is very nice - my only tiny suggestion would be to have more pool-side seating and shade. This is a top quality holiday rental in a terrific location, managed very proficiently. Highly rated!
