Excellent location, 1 block from the #1 subway line, with plenty of dining optiins very close to hotel. Easy walking to Central Park. Staff was excllent from front desk to front doormen to room maids. Also, the attached restaurant Nice Matin was a fabulous place to have breakfast every morning - the staff there were very professional and service oriented and the meals were very good as was the very pleasant atmosphere and decore. Would most definetly recommend this fine older hotel in the Upper West Side of New York.

A rainy, cold but fun weekend
The staff was amazing - we had 4 young children (3, 4, 5, and 6 yo) on the trip. We were headed out to search for a toy store and one of the staff printed us a list of local stores and a map - my grandson's highlight was directing us all to the toy store using the map.
