It’s 5 O’Clock Here-Waterfront Cabin w/Hot Tub! Pet Friendly, Blue Ridge Parkway

Beautiful cabin, spotlessly clean sleeps 1-5 and has a HOT TUB on the front porch, just outside the master bedroom. We are just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and our cabin is PET FRIENDLY (well-behaved dogs only!) Come stay at “It’s 5 O’Clock Here,” and enjoy the wonderful views, stocked fishing pond, fire pit with wood, free wifi/internet, the cool mountain weather, and all of the nearby activities. This cabin has all of the modern amenities. Our master bedroom features a queen-size memory foam mattress. Our loft bedroom is roomy and cozy and accessible by an interior ladder. We provide Keurig coffee maker, crockpots for easy cooking, and nice updated cookware.

The cabin includes a full kitchen with microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Our living room has a flat screen television and a stone fireplace (gas logs). Outside, enjoy our spacious front covered deck, fishing gear, Adirondack chairs, and pond view! There is a permanent outdoor charcoal grill right outside the door.

Travel to nearby Buffalo Mountain for a breathtaking Piedmont view hike, ride gravel or mountain bikes on the New River Trail (a 57-mile rail-to-trail starting in Galax, VA). Or, just sit on the covered front porch that overlooks the well-stocked pond and listen to the quiet.

The cabin is located 15 minutes away from Mt. Airy, NC (‘Mayberry’ from the Andy Griffith Show), Hillsville, VA, and 20 minutes from Galax, VA. There are numerous local restaurants, breweries, and wineries, and often live bluegrass music. Recently completed, “It’s Time to Unwine” is our second cabin. This cabin can be rented dually to accommodate larger families or groups. Contact us for details.

The cabin is less than 1/10 of a mile from Wellness Pursuits, and they offer yoga and fitness classes in a rural mountain setting.

While driving to the local wineries, stop by the local cherry, grape, apple and peach orchards, all within 15-30 minutes. Check out Mount Airy, NC, Andy Griffith's hometown Mayberry, and a great, thriving small town that is fun to visit!

This is a family-operated vacation home from the cabin detailing to the rental bookings. We are all proud of this home and want each and every guest to enjoy their stay. We do allow dogs and the area is dog friendly. We just ask for you to look after the cabin like it is yours. Everything you need to unplug
The property is very easy to get to and even though we had a lot of snow this week. I didn’t have any trouble with the local roads. The cabin had everything we needed, including a hot tub and gas fireplace. It was clean, comfortable and beautiful. The host communicated as needed. I would stay here again. I think, especially in the spring and fall. It would be sublime. 10 out of 10.

I have two grown son's (22 and 26). I am recently divorced the men-children still live with Mom. The boys and I decided that we should get together between Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. I agreed and we decided that we would use VRBO well the name alone sold me!!! We were able to Check in an hour early, which was great! My boys were driving up from Concord, NC (1hr 30mins for them) and I was driving up form Wallace, NC (3hrs 45mins for me) and we met in Mt Airy, NC (about 20-25 mins from the "It's Five O'Clock Here") in Fancy Gap, VA.Mt. Airy, NC, We ended up walking for a while on the "Riverside Park Greenway", with Alfred my Bulldog.We had Lunch at Barney's Cafe, it was home cooked burgers, fries - really good.Did the Andy Griffith Museum (I enjoyed, sons, not so much). I found it very interesting!Pit Stop Pizza and Grill (Fancy Gap, VA) had dinner here, and the boys were stunned that I was taking them to a Gas Stating Italian Dinner! Well, it WAS great and they were surprised.The Copper Pot we had breakfast here (it was a home cooked southern breakfast)We then went our separat ways home.We are considering returning next year, same time!Overall, we give "It's Five O'Clock Here" a Solid 9.5/10!

The cabin was the perfect weekend getaway for our anniversary. It was clean and well stocked, the host was very nice and easy to contact, check in was smooth..nothing to complain about at all! The cabin and neighborhood were exactly what we expected. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at this Cozy Cabin. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch and watching the sunrise over the pond was definitely a highlight. Kids loved fishing and their own cool space up in the loft.

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin and was what needed. A nice place to just ourselves to relax and enjoy the Hot Tub multiple times each day. It was a place that offered a quiet and private. We enjoyed making our own breakfast and our own dinners most evenings. I did bring my own Waffle Maker, Egg Poacher, baking loaf pans, and mixer with mixing bowls to make banana bread. We also made meatloaf one night, grilled salmon another night, and lasagna another night. Jackie and I enjoyed cooking together. Also, I did bring several DVD from home to enjoy watching some old time movies (Ghost and Mrs. Muir, and an Errol Flynn classic Captain Blood). Overall it was a nice romantic getaway for Jackie and I. Other going grocery shopping, the only other trip we made was to the Winery for an afternoon to sample and purchase a few bottles of wine. The few deficiencies that I will not are the lack of sufficient table place settings and the difficulty of placing the hot tub cover after each time we enjoyed the hot tub.
