A fantastic place for people who like pubs, good food and cosy accommodation. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable, with lots of extras and a great coffee machine. The restaurant is easily the best in town and the service is extremely friendly and helpful.

We booked a Standard Double Room and it was clear on investigation on our return home that we had been allocated an Economy Room, which was disappointing. The property and room were spotlessly clean. The view from the window was over a dirty back yard and it might be worth considering making the lower half of the window all opaque, as a couple of the panes already were. It would benefit from a comfortable seating area, as when the wine bar closed, mid afternoon, there was nowhere to sit other than the public bar. Breakfast was good, but no extras such as cereal, toast etc. It was a shame not to be able to sample the hotels other food as the reastaurant wasn't open. which was disappointing on a Bank Holiday weekend when all else in Faringdon was closed.
