Staff was marginally helpful and I was harassed 2 out of 3 nights by people in the area. In addition the room i had was in a separate, new, block in the rear. Not the historical building. Location was good. You get what you pay for.

Area was nice for being near hotspots. The availability of secure parking was nice but didn't realize until I had gotten there that it was still payment parking. First night we were there the street had a power outage for three hours. The temperature was 86 and humid and we had to deal with the heat until the power came back on. Didn't hear anything from the hotel about how we were managing or that the power was out. Had to here from a guy on the street. Overall experience besides that and a hiccup at checkup was great and very friendly

I was in the rear quarters where there was obvious construction going on. I was difficult to move luggage from the front property to the rear property. The room had no hangers, no toilet paper holder, (which i found out the fist time I used the bathroom and realized the new roll of toilet paper was across the room under the sink, and ultimately, the reason I left is because I could not get any Wi-Fi signal and was unable to connect while i was there. Hence my early check-out. I have not yet been refunded the $100 deposit I was charged when I checked in. Having said all that, the staff was lovely.

We had the best time staying at Lamothe House Hotel! The location was perfectā€”everything we wanted to do in New Orleans was just a short walk away. Our room was beautiful, and the pool was such a great spot to chill after a day out. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel right at home. Seriously, the hospitality was top-notch. Canā€™t wait to come back!

This is our 3rd time staying here and I canā€™t imagine staying anywhere else. It has New Orleans charm and is in the perfect location. We love the pool to be able to cool off in the afternoon heat. The staff is also so nice and welcoming. We arrived at 11am expecting to just drop off our bags, but our rooms were ready and they let us check in! The cons are that there were never any towels at the pool, even when we asked they never arrived. The only other major con was that our room this time had one outlet and the bedside lamps were plugged into it. There is a coffee maker, but the only other outlet was in the bathroom. However, there was always hot coffee in the lobby. These are more so things for us to note for next time!

When I got there there was a black out in the neighborhood. The person on duty took me to my completely dark room (no AC, no ventilation) and left me there. I asked for a flashlight or a candle and he said he didn't have one. A lot of the time I was there there was no one at the front desk and someone answered at a different location. The WiFi never worked. A depressing place. It used to be nice but not any more. Not at all.

Lovely old place in a great location
Lovely hotel in a good location on the quiet residential side a half a block outside the French quarter. Room was large and furnished with antiques, and room looked out over Esplanade, so it could be quite noisy at night. Room smelled of bleach when we entered, and the coffee machine had a used coffee pod in it. The pool is a nice feature. Staff are friendly but the property could use some refurbishment.

The hotel staff were nice. The room was clean. There was no place to hang articles of clothing in the room and that was disappointing. The neighborhood in general has many rundown properties, but of course the hotel staff cannot help that.

The stay here was very nice. Room was small, but clean. Bed was very comfortable to sleep on, pillows deflate a bit but we got a decent nights sleep. Only complaints I have is; there was only one plug in the room and one in the bathroom. So to plug in our phones and Apple Watches we had to unplug the coffee machine and use those plaits and the ones in the bathroom. Which I didnā€™t particularly like vacationing w/out the kids I like to have my phone by the bed incase anyone calls. Second is we had absolutely no hot water so we had to take cold showers both days. Other than that the stay was great, staff is super friendly, location to the popular places was a quick walk away and property seemed safe for the few days we stayed we had no issues with people roaming in/though their area.

The property and courtyard were beautiful. Pwerfect location near the french quarter. AC in the room was amazing. Only problem was that the jacuzzi outside was not warm. Would definitely stay again though. Hope the jacuzzi is working better next time.
