I took a chance on this booking since it didn't have any reviews and PAID IN FULL upon booking. I'm not sure the first guest and I stayed in the same house.
After our first issue with a clogged toilet upon arrival, I was sent a text message from the local host saying that texting was easier because sometimes the app lags. Well, the local host and PrivateSuiteLife aren't the same person. Know you are communicating with 2 separate entities.
The toilet upstairs clogged several times during our stay. But plungers were delivered within 2 hours of letting the local host know of the issue.
And the AC never got below 74 degrees getting as high as 78/80 in the afternoons. Via text, it was said that services were called, but none were available the weekend. Most likely not true.
The next issue was the smoke detectors blaring at 3:15am Friday morning on and off for 10 secs every 10 min 3 times and at 4:25 am Saturday morning. The house was thoroughly checked each time and no issues were seen, leading us to believe it was the batteries - but no one came to check after the first night. Make sure the smoke detector lights are green when you arrive.
Despite their "completely understandable" and "Customer satisfaction is the ultimate goal" responses, no refund was offered for our horrendous experience. Guess it really is all about the money.
