Casa do Olival is located in Figueiró dos Vinhos, a nice old town located in the center of Portugal, in the so-called Zona do Pinhal. The village is located 45 km away from Coimbra, 50 from Tomar, 180 km from Lisbon and 160 km from Porto. The border with Spain is about 160 km.
Recently restored, Casa do Olival is surrounded by a small garden area and implanted in the middle of an olive grove with about 3000 m2, where there are also some fruit trees. The place is extremely quiet and perfect for families or groups of friends looking for a weekend or a holiday in a comfortable and welcoming space.

Village and surroundings
Figueiró dos Vinhos is an old town that deserves a visit to its historical and cultural heritage. The municipal tourist office organizes free guided tours to different places of interest, such as the Casulo de Malhoa and the Museum and Arts Center.
The Schist Villages Network defines a set of places formed by houses of traditional architecture, built predominantly with that rock. One of the most beautiful is Casal de S. Simão, located in the municipality of Figueiró dos Vinhos, about 7 km from Casa do Olival.
The reservoirs of Castelo do Bode (8 km) and Cabril (18 km) are great for water sports or fishing. The area also offers pleasant river beaches such as those in the village of Ana de Avis (2 km), Fragas de S. Simão (7 km) and Praia das Rocas (15 km).
Coimbra and Tomar, cities close to Figueiró dos Vinhos, are classified by UNESCO as World Heritage.
