Come and enjoy this newly remodeled cabin in Finland in the North Shore of Minnesota. We are surrounded by the Superior National Forest on Highway 1 off of 61. It is a central location for all kinds of winter activities. Snowmobile, cross country skiing, show shoeing, fat tire biking, ice fishing, downhill skiing are all available in the area.
Have fun year round with all there is to do in the areaāhiking, kayaking, boating, fishing, golfing, ATV, and exploring the Lake Superior area.
This cabin has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with tub and shower. One bedroom has a queen size bed and the other has a full size bed. Each bedroom has a roomy closet. There is a living room with a full size futon as well as a Lodi woodstove. The TV is equipped with Roku and you can bring your own account and log into Netflix, HBO, and Hulu. The eat-in kitchen has a new electric stove and refrigerator/freezer and is equipped with dishes, utensils and cooking supplies. There are lots of windows to enjoy the forest-like surroundings.
After our big snowstorm, the trails are groomed and ready to ride. Lots of powder out there also. There is a long driveway which can accomodate snowmobile trailers. We are 1.5 miles from the Clair Nelson Finland Community Center. Trailers can be parked there and snowmobile trails accessed.
When the snow melts, enjoy our new deck in beautiful forest-like surroundings. The deck has a table and chairs for outside relaxing and dining. Outdoor Firepit available on patio complete with camp chairs.
Our cabin in Finland is the perfect base for year round activities for all ages.
Lutsen Mountain Ski Resort is 30 miles north. Tettegouche State Park is 7 miles and is open for snow shoe, skate-skiing, and cross country skiing. Split Rock State Park is 20 miles and also has groomed trails for fat-biking.
Favorite things to do in the area include The North Shore Adventure Park. We are only about 15 minutes from the Adventure Park featuring zip lines and high ropes as well as axe throwing. Close by is a miniature golf course.
Black Beach is a beautiful beach with black sand and incredible views. There are plenty of trails for snowmobiles and ATVās.
The Gitchi-Gami State Trail is a paved Non-motorized trail for hiking, biking, and in-line skating
