Simple but cozy vacation home on the idyllic island of Ivö, in Ivösjon, Skåne's largest inland lake. You can reach the island by Ivöleden, Skåne's only ferry. Your vacation apartment is on the second floor of the wing of a Baurnhof with an outside staircase. Directly from the hallway you step onto a balcony where you can enjoy the afternoon sun and a beautiful view. From the property, a small path leads to the lake path, which circles the shore to a child-friendly swimming spot with pontoons. Ivö is a natural island with beautiful beech forest and lots of greenery. Lake Ivösjön is excellent for fishing, and because of the mild climate even walnut trees thrive here, which are rare elsewhere in Sweden. Ivö Klack is a fossil rich mountain in the north of the island, and here you can find fossils, silent witnesses of prehistoric times. A dinosaur skeleton has even been found in the area around the lake. Other interesting destinations and sights on the island are the medieval vault Biskopskällaren, the cliffs of Kaolinbrottet and the grotto-like formations of Ugnsmunnarna. On the mainland, you can visit nearby Bäckaskogs Castle and Kjugekull Nature Reserve. Kristianstad, Bromölla and Sölvesborg can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. There you will find stores, museums, cozy cafes, restaurants and much more. In the cottage is a bedroom with two sleeping places, and in the kitchen-living room are two more sleeping places on a sofa bed. Curtain, not a door, between the bedroom and the kitchen-living room.
