Cozy Cabin
Honestly looks better than the pictures. Comfy beds and plenty of open space. The arcade games were a huge bonus. Only one bathroom downstairs, but we made do. Bring water or filter pitcher, it was well water.

Pretty Good
Very clean and nicely decorated. About 20-30 minutes from the larger town on either side. Lots of family games to play. TVs in the bedrooms and a large tv in the living room but you have to have your own streaming service accounts and the water pressure was not the best but overall pretty good.

Great visit!
Overall the stay was GREAT!! There were a couple of small issues, but we handled them. We were unable to find lights for the "back" porch area outside. We would have liked to be able to make ice in the freezer and the stove has one burner (back right) that only cooks on high. We loved the peacefulness and natural beauty. We were nervous to drive on the road after dark, so we carefully planned our days to be back around sundown to avoid those issues. Thank you for the great care and we will keep the property in mind if we decide to visit the area again.

Great spot to meet up with friends and family
We just got back from our 4 night stay. The good: The house was lovely, surrounded by trees, and very much had a cabin feeling. The fire pit was lovely. The master bed was comfortable, and the room was very nice. Actually, all the bedrooms were very nice, and the lounge area upstairs worked well to give the kids a space to hang out, while the grown-ups hung out downstairs. The wood stove would be very cozy in the winter. Plenty of dishes and silverware. The fridge was large and spacious. Plenty of counter space. Multiple TVs, so everyone could relax and watch what they wanted to watch. The bad: We did not realize that the owners other two rentals were right next to it. Had they been occupied, it might not have been as peaceful. One of the "bedrooms" is really just a bed outside of a private bedroom, in a loft area with couches and a TV. In the listing, it looked like that loft area was private. We didn't realize it connected to all the bedrooms. The bathroom was huge, but the house could use a second bathroom. The kitchen was nice, but needed some basics, such as plastic wrap, more paper towels, more trash bags, aluminum foil, some tupperware with lids that fit it, etc. We purchased this stuff ourselves, so not a huge deal, just a bit inconvenient. The balcony upstairs wasn't used very much because the cushions were torn and dirty, and there was a hornets nest up there. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would return again.

Great Place To Stay But Don’t Expect WiFi/Internet Access
The cabin was in a beautiful location and was beautiful. Super clean. Very impressed with the items provided including bed linens, generous supply of towels/washcloths, kitchen items. The huge walk in shower was great. We loved playing each other on the PacMan game system. Nice fire pit and outside patio. Plenty of space all around. The only complaint from our stay is the wifi or lack of. The WiFi would not connect to any of our devices including the smart TVs in the cabin and when it did the signal was too weak to even use. If WiFi is an essential for you then I would not recommend staying here but otherwise would totally recommend staying here!

Nice Property
Nice property that was as described. There was quite a bit of snow when we went which made getting up and down the driveway a bit nerve wracking, but we survived. If you expect to go when it might be snowing I would want an AWD vehicle. Couple suggestions for the property owners, since there's always room for improvement: 1) Have a sled on-site if there does happen to be snow. Would have made things more fun for the kids 2) The WiFi was basically non-functional, so we had to use our phones as hotspots for the TV and such 3) Install brighter light bulbs in the kitchen/fire place area. At night it was very dim, even with all the lights on

Beautiful setting in the woods
We enjoyed the location and that it was situated in a very wooded area. We saw lots of deer each day we were there. The fire pit area was very nice and the outside deck. We had an issue with wasps in and out of the cabin, but after we contacted maintenance, it was handled right away. All the bedrooms had very comfortable beds and bedding and each had a tv in the room which was nice. On a rainy day, my two kids especially enjoyed the arcade like game system. The large bathroom/laundry room is located on the first floor along with the kitchen which could be an issue for little ones at night. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and sightseeing at the nearby waterfalls. The trees were beautiful. The cabin was also tastefully decorated.

Liked A Lot, a few suggestions...
1st Floor a little tighter than expected. Listing needs to say the only bathroom is down stairs on first floor. All bedrooms and TV/living room space second floor. Gorgeous outdoor deck on second floor, however, wasps roaming over nests in cedar siding. Unsafe. Maintenance issue. Overall, it's fantastic, but needs some attention. Issues with Internet saying "out of country" not sure why. BOTTOM Line... would definitely come back... any issues here we overcame, beautiful spot.

Rustic but New compound
The Lodge at Cabin Creek very much as the feel of having your own family compound - though there are two smaller units at the site, so you might have a couple neighbors if you don't book all three. It is new, well-decorated and very clean and comfortable, with all kinds of amenities (arcade game table, telescope on the balcony anyone?). You should be aware, however, that it s new build rustic - so there is only one bathroom for the whole house on the main floor, with the bedrooms on the second. And no dishwasher. But if you are looking for gorgeous relaxation or a great base to explore the beauties of West Virginia, this is a fantastic choice.

Beautiful home!
Cabin was very tastefully decorated which made it warm and cozy. Kids loves the Pac-Man gaming system. Even though it says it’s on 56 acres you do have 2 other cabins close by, not an issue for us but a heads up if you wanted to be totally secluded. It is about a mile drive down a gravel road to get to the cabins but there was zero noise pollution which was nice, it was super quiet and peaceful.

A Beautiful Lodge!
We stayed at The Lodge with our 3 teenage/adult boys. What a beautiful home! This was our home base to explore the New River Gorge National Park, and although not super close to the park, it was definitely a great choice for our family. The lodge is very clean and modern, and the property is equally impressive. I highly recommend this listing to anyone who is looking for a home that can sleep PLENTY! The outdoor patio and porch with fans and lighting were also relaxing for the warm evenings.

Cozy cabin in the woods
The house is beautiful and perfect for a family. We skied at Winterplace and it was about 15 minutes to get there - nice for a beginner family who didn't know how much time we wanted to spend on the slopes. It is quite remote so bring what you need and I imagine absolutely beautiful in the summer. The cabin is set up to sleep more than us but even the 4 of us had lines at the bathroom sometimes so I imagine full capacity would feel crowded. Host was very nice.

Better in person
Let me start off by saying this property was absolutely wonderful. Walking through the front door you are greeted with a clean new home, not to mention the layout of upstairs and downstairs. Downstairs your offered a nice little setting area where I propped my feet up and drank my coffee in the mornings. The kitchen is supplied with everything you need along with a huge refrigerator. Theres a covered patio with beautiful twinkling lights and a table to enjoy your meals or to set back and have a nice beverage along with quiet nature surroundings. Upstairs you will find what seems like 2 master bedrooms, and a additional room with bunk beds bottom being full size and top twin. It’s simply a beautiful open floor plan with plenty of sleeping areas along with a living room area and a huge tv. And let’s talk about the huge bathroom, if I could bring that home with me I would! We visited 3 national parks, Babcock where we got to climb to the top of a mountain and see beautiful sceneries , there is some fishing and sightseeing along some waterfalls. I also recommend pipestem national park and visit their lake with all the water activities, lots of fun for kids and adults, and Omgoodness don’t forget about the pipestem drive in movie theater!! So much fun with a great concession stand!! Last and not least new river gorge, followed by the Thurman haunted abandon town,. So much to do and the location of this VRBO was so close to everything. Can’t wIt to go back! Highly recommend! Kimberly B
