Enjoy quiet days and star filled skies In this 1200 Sq Ft, two Bedroom, two bath Home. Its approximately 3 miles off the paved road in a private spacious county setting . This home is a prior Grandparents house, attached to the owners house BUT with entirely private entrances.
One large master Bedroom with a King Bed, rocking chair and a full bathroom. The second bedroom has a Queen bed, chairs and has an attached full bathroom. A large kitchen including a dishwasher, Keurig and drip coffee makers as well as everyday use amenities. Two VERY comfortable roll away beds, complete with bedding can accommodate two more individuals if needed.
The Living room Sports a Large smart screen TV, Full WIFI internet as well as a leather sectional couch with recliners and several chairs. The entire house hosts a nice collection of "museum like" glass cased Bird mounts and decor. A washer/Dryer room. A private fire pit stocked with firewood, Large spacious fields and private roads can all be enjoyed for exploring or walks.
The views of the mountains and fields as well as a great view of the dark star filled skies can be enjoyed off the elevated back deck and walkway. Comfortable chairs and a gas or charcoal grill are ready for your use.
Enjoy the QUIET....., no traffic, fantastic views, Cozy beds, a comfortable spacious floor plan are just a few of the amenities to be enjoyed.
As a notice of advice, this home is situated in the Sapphire Mountain foothills. From late October till Spring thaw an AWD or 4WD vehicle is advised. The roads are maintained and plowed as it is a residential area but a good traction vehicle is advised.

Fantastic Property
Beautiful clean property. The hosts have thought of everything; beautifully decorated, well furnished, games, coffee, even a highchair. Welcome gifts of fresh eggs, ground meat, and wonderful jam was a nice surprise. The physical location may be too far for some but is worth the drive to have the beautiful quiet scenery. Sitting on the back patio watching the birds fly in and out while enjoying the quiet every evening was so nice. Everything was wonderful and worth the drive into Missoula every day. Would have loved to stay another night.

Amazing property! We enjoyed our stay immensely. Great hosts and the rental had everything you would need. A special treat: we caught the Aurora. A bit of a drive but in Montana terms it’s not too far out. You won’t be disappointed.

Absolutely best VRBO ever visited
Can’t say enough about the hosts, their rental or the location. By far our best Vrbo stay ! We had vehicle problems and the host offered to bring us food, offered to pick up repair parts for us in town, and even helped us fix it. They made such a point to welcome us and go out of their way for us during our visit. We 100% sincerely loved this place and cannot wait to go back.

Great Place, Great Hosts, Great Location, - just plain Great
I hesitate to say just how great this place is as it may become so popular that it won't be available the next time I want to stay here. We enjoyed the well appointed guest house, "The Birdhouse," with it's unique and interesting decor, the setting, and the exceptionally accommodating hosts. This VRBO is a great value. Had we known how great this place is, we would have made arrangements for a longer stay.

Paradise!
Every thing about this stay was perfect! The house and setting were beautiful. Eugene’s taxidermy throughput the home were incredible. The house was clean and well stocked with anything that you might need. Watching the sun rise and set over the Sapphire Mountains were highlights each day. Cannot say enough good things about the entire stay besides we will definitely be back!

One of the very top tier VRBO's we have visited. Host family was wonderful. They were helpful, conversational, pleasant, wonderful people to be with. The VRBO was probably the cleanest, homiest, well furnished and interesting ones we have visited. The kitchen was stocked with many of the spices needed, as well as coffee, tea, cream, sugar, and cream substitutes. In addition, they provided a little gift of fresh eggs, homemade jam and ground bison meet (describes the thoughtfulness of the hosts in caring for their guest). We give this VRBO our highest recommendation.

Relaxing and Gorgeous
Amazing property! We were looking for a relaxing vacation with beautiful views and we definitely found it here at the Birdhouse! The property was extremely clean, peacefully quiet, and had everything we needed and more. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and provided everything we needed for our stay. We had fresh egg from their chickens each morning, played with their friendly dogs and had campfires at night. The amenities were high quality and we couldn’t be happier with our choice to stay here. Highly recommend this VRBO!

We were totally surprised with the property. It was amazing. If you are looking for a get away from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place for you. The owners were very friendly and accomodating to my grandchildren. They allowed my granddaughter to gather eggs and we played with their dogs Lacey and Tanna for hours. The property was very clean and stocked with all the appliance and things you may need in the kitchen. We will definitely be back to visit Eugene and Carolyn.

Great stay at The Birdhouse!
The property was absolutely beautiful! Everything - plus some - was exactly as described. We stayed there for a couple in our party to run the Missoula Marathon so unfortunately we were all too tired/sore to enjoy walking the property but resting on the deck was great as we watched birds come into the feeders. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating. We would 100% recommend!

Beautiful views, comfortable beds, clean, quiet, relaxing, with interesting bird displays. Bird watching while having coffee in the morning was exquisite. Incredible Place-Wonderful Hosts!
The Birdhouse is a beautiful, private, extremely clean, well kept rental that we hope to return to soon. This home is such a special place, we had so much fun exploring the property and just relaxing in the beautiful setting. Hummingbirds swarmed the back porch and we loved watching them feed. Carolyn, the host was so warm and welcoming, she was kind and helpful while giving us plenty of space. We will most certainly return!

Not just for the Birds!
What an excellent property! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the birdhouse. The accommodations were excellent and just as described. A Little Slice of Heaven

Quick Get Away
This property is phenomenal! It was so relaxing to spend time at the "Birdhouse". My wife and I and our two adult twin sons took a weekend away to Missoula for U of M homecoming, visit family and relax and we are so glad we happened upon this property. The home is beautiful, the beds so comfortable, and the scenery was amazing. I'm an early riser so when I awoke around 4 AM each morning I'd make a cup of coffee and sit on the deck and look at the stars, and listen to absolute quiet until about 6 or so when nature came to life. I will definitely stay here again if I find myself back in this area. The one problem we had was our GPS in our vehicle, took us a different route that no longer exists. Be sure you have your phone on you for correct navigation.
