Comfortable but dated
There was a terrific view of Noyo Harbor from our room, and it was fun fall asleep to the fog horn and wake up to the seals and sea lions in the harbor. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. But overall, the room was incredibly dated (think 70s) and felt sort of thrifty and dim. For example, real ceramic coffee cups, but those cheaply flexible plastic water cups that you can't even stand a toothbrush in. Not great for drinking out of either. No-name soap mounted in a wall dispenser. Oddly unbalanced lighting with one bedside lamp incredibly bright and the other normal. A sort of weird layout with the vanity in the room, rather than in the bathroom. Not uncommon, I know, but it didn't add to the ambience. Overall, we decided that this was a fine place to sleep, but not a place I'd book if I wanted to relax in the room, read a book, have a glass of wine, etc. We also joked that it would be a bad place to check into depressed.

Old and tired!
The room was very old and outdated. Not like the picture shown on the website. Extremely hot and the wall unit did not work. I had to leave open the sliding door because it was so hot and I was on the first floor. Do not stay on the first floor as you can hear the people above you tromping around. This was throughout the night and really ramped up at 6AM. Refrigerator smelled inside and was not turned on, I couldn’t find the cord to plug in. I spoke with the person at the front desk when I checked out. They told me that was an older room that had not been updated. Just extremely frustrating. Two nights was two too many!! If you stay there ask to look at the room first and stay on the top floor.

Loved this hotel! Very clean room! The harbor view room really does give an incredible view just like they advertise in their pictures. They have complimentary hot cocoa and coffee in the lobby which we really appreciated in the cold weather! The hotel was within 15 mins of everything we wanted to see. Overall loved it! Not the fanciest hotel but very cute and taken care of.

Great property to stay at for a quick trip. Staff & service however was not great. Checked in one hour after check in time for leeway but room was unprepared upon arrival. Told to wait 15 more minutes for a call when they finished, but never got any call after 20. Went in and different staff wasn’t very attentive I wanted to get their attention, and once they checked with me, they told my room was apparently already ready and they didn’t call to let me know. So that wasn’t very welcoming… Other than that room was decent, nice view of the harbor, and got the job done to allow us a nice stay for the night.

Harbor Lite Lodge has great customer service. The front desk was very friendly and super helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and had a wonderful view of the harbor. Happy they had a microwave and fridge/freezer in the room. And the location is super close to everything too! The only minor issue is the walls are super thin so I could hear the folks next door and outside talking, walking by and even using the restroom. But the area itself is pretty peaceful.
