Other than the check in process, which I’ve already reviewed, the hotel was just fine and our reasons for booking were very valid. 1. Shuttle pick up at airport (Many hotels have this option). 2. Dining on premises. It was a good sports bar with friendly service and good food and we didn’t have to go out after a long day of travel. 3. Free shuttle to cruise port the next day! They had it very well organized with 3 shuttles, each with a luggage carrier in tow. Nearly everyone at the hotel was leaving for a cruise. The staff tried to be entertaining, even a “Captain Morgan” at breakfast. I felt I’d been transported to a 1960’s Catskills Resort! Our room was clean, very basic, but comfortable bed. All in all, a very good experience.

This hotel is not as advertised. The entire facility smelled of sewer, was absolutely filthy, not at all as the pictures portrayed. We had to find different accommodations, there was no way I was staying in this place. I canceled the room in person, before 10am day of check in, and the hotel refused to refund any of my money. I see why you have a 72hr cancellation policy, because anybody who walks into your hotel would turn around and leave if there was an option to get the money back. We had 2 rooms that cost us over $500, then had to pay $40 for an uber to take us to another hotel, plus the cost of a new hotel for the night. I have attempted to contact the hotel twice to request a refund and nobody has gotten band to me. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

I chose the property for the airport shuttle AND the port shuttle. Also, a restaurant on premises. It was very nice. Free breakfast was OK. Our room was fine. Comfortable bed, nice sized room. They really need to fix the check in process. I waited 30 minutes in line (3rd), then my check in was over 30 minutes, because he kept answering the phone from people waiting for the shuttle. They were always in the wrong waiting place and he patiently explained where they could go to find it. Meanwhile, the line was getting longer for people waiting to check in!

The property was adequate for a one night stay but desperately needs an update. Service desk workers were not very helpful or friendly. The room was adequate for an overnight stay but not worth the over $300 that we paid. Their shuttle system was good both from the airport and to the ship.

Property was way overpriced but this may have been because of the holiday weekend. We were given keys to an already occupied room twice and it was finally one of the cleaning staff that assisted us. The a/c in our room was filthy inside and out. I took photos of it then I removed the filters and washed them. Clearly it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Clean air is a basic essential maintenance and management need to step up. Property is convenient to the cruise pier and airport and provides a shuttle but we won't stay there again.

They advertised that they would pick us up at the airport. After an hour and a half and 3 telephone calls, we gave up and got a taxi. Checkin took forever!! The lobby was junky. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed a late dinner outside in the connecting restaurant. They were VERY organized about transporting all of us to the ship terminal (we think everyone there was going on a cruise.)

Extra night charge

You (Hotels.com) charged me for one nights stay (I was there two nights). I decided to pay the hotel directly for e second night. I was there two nights, charged for three, one by you (Hotels.com) and two by the hotel. Why? I don't want reimbursed by you, I want reimbursed by Roadway Inn - they charged me about $135, Hotels.com charged me $108. I have my bank looking into cancelling one of their charges. Don't you communicate with the hotel?

This was our 2nd stay here and it has been quite good. The room we took was comfortable and the bed was great for a good night's sleep. The included breakfast was nourishing if a bit short of what we expected. The attached restaurant offered good food at a reasonable price. Transport to both the airport and cruise port were included, so that was a great perk. I highly recommend Rodeway Inn and Suites at Fort Lauderdale.

Stay was good for an overnight stay to get to the port. Shuttle service was convenient and organized. Really just an older property and rooms. Good price point and restaurant attached was extremely convenient.
