Had 15 mins left before check out and house keeping tried to just walk in the room while I was getting out of the shower !!! Fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling. There was trash from previous stay in the corner of the room . And breakfast was disappointing even the cereal was stale!!!!!!

The staff was great. They were welcoming, even when we were late checking in. The continental breakfast was adequate, hot waffles and toast. However, the rooms were dirty, there were holes in the sheets and bedspreads, and hair in the bathtub.

Pool was 1/3 full of foamy water, elevator was out of service and the first room we were given smelled very smokey. The second handicap room was better but still stuffy smelling and had no shower curtain which caused my wife to slip and fall on the tiled bathroom floor. However the bed was clean and comfortable and we had a good night's rest.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions. It’s not fancy but you get your money’s worth, if all you need is a place to crash. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool and elevator haven’t worked in years, so you might keep that in mind. I’m staying again in September. Great value

Originally someone changed my reservation for a handicapped room I had to have for my husband. They were able to put in another ground floor room for one night and put us in the correct room the next day for the rest of our stay. My understanding from staff manager has taken care of the problem and it shouldn't happen again.

Reservations about reserving here...
Not sure how (or why) the staff does what they do to keep the hotel functioning; they were about the only redeeming quality of this stay. The sheets and towels were almost threadbare, stained and/or had cigarette burns despite being non-smoking. The elevator doesn't work and the hallways were unkempt. When I expressed concern about the bedding not being changed, the acknowledgement of the poor condition was followed by "...until the new ownership takes over, that's what we have to work with." I hope new ownership does right by the employees and supports this quaint community.
