Domaine le Manoir, the Authentic cottage with private swimming pool and Spa

You are staying in the former hunting lodge of Château Hautefort. The Domaine le Manoir dates from the 17th century. L'Authentique is a real cottage full of charm and character. Typical and comfortable benefiting from a spacious terrace, a private swimming pool in the summer season and a “Nordic Bath” Spa in the heart of nature (preferred in the winter season) or in cool weather. Rural and bucolic setting! Breathtaking view of the property and it is a pleasure to walk there.
Our cottage dates back more than 500 years, we have completely restored it. Its rubble walls and old beams guarantee you a total change of scenery and a warm and cocooning atmosphere. You will also be seduced by its comfortable equipment and its meticulous decoration.
On the first level is the living/dining area, a beautiful and large fully equipped open kitchen, a small bedroom with 2 single beds and the bathroom with walk-in shower and WC. The main room is equipped with a pellet stove for cool evenings.
Upstairs you will discover a splendid suite with exposed beams and original parquet flooring, with bathroom and separate toilet. A 1-seater convertible sofa can accommodate an additional child.
From your large private terrace you will discover a magnificent view of the verdant 10ha estate.
We are pleased to welcome you all year round, to the rhythm of the seasons. The Domaine offers a privileged place for those looking to recharge their batteries during vacation, a romantic getaway or a moment of sharing with friends. For the summer season you benefit from a privatized and secure outdoor swimming pool treated with salt, with garden armchairs and sunbeds.
In cool or even very cold weather, let yourself be tempted by an extraordinary sensory experience, out of time. Nothing like decompressing from daily stress. A magical moment aboard a wooden spa, in the middle of a country setting, surrounded by magnificent fir trees.
Light a few candles and let yourself be enchanted by the crackling and the pleasant smell of the wood fire. A moment of relaxation and well-being, you relax, you admire the starry sky, you discuss, you find yourself, you are well.
At any time, the experience is intense: during the day, at dusk, at night, for two, with family, with friends; Each moment is experienced differently.
The Nordic bath is private and optional, it must be reserved at the time of booking. We offer different formulas depending on the duration of the rental.
The common games room is a delight for children and parents. You will find books, board games, toys, music and table football, children's billiards. Outside, playground, trampoline and ping-pong table. A few bicycles and a baby carrier are also available free of charge. We also offer electric mountain bike rental.
Childcare equipment available (lib BB, high chair, playpen, changing mat) in the common laundry room.
Our small herd of goats and our pony are always happy to meet you.
New for 2024! For you, dear guests, we have created a relaxation area that combines sport and a fantastic view of the area. Enough to give your body and mind a boost!
You can walk freely on the estate, but also the many forests, paths behind the house and the surroundings offer beautiful, peaceful hiking trails. Your children can go in search of animal tracks, play hide and seek and enjoy the outdoor spaces. We offer pony rides with Univers our shetland.
The property is made up of huge blue fir trees, meadows, forest land and many fruit trees that can be picked freely depending on the season.
The estate has 2 cottages, each with its own space and private swimming pool. Possibility of 9 beds if you come with a large family or with friends.
Swimming pools open in season and depending on the weather from June 1 to September 30.
The swimming pool is exclusively dedicated to you during your stay and has an outdoor entertainment area.
The best means of transport is the car. You benefit from a free space to park your vehicle.
Access to the estate is very simple near the A89 linking Brive to Bordeaux.
Your pet is welcome but only on request before booking, a supplement of 3€ per day will be requested on arrival. Thank you for your understanding.
The Estate is located at the gates of the Périgord Noir. You can enjoy the countryside, while staying in the heart of a great tourist and gastronomic region. The region is famous for its food but also for its magnificent nature, its 1001 castles, its markets, its caves, its rivers. Many activities make the region so pleasant to visit.
You are only 4 km from Thenon with its market, its supermarket, its restaurants, its guignette with shaded terrace, tree climbing (the call of the forest) its post office, bank etc... Access to the area is very simple close to the A89 linking Brive to Bordeaux.
In half an hour you can visit the must-see sites of Périgord Noir (Lascaux (20km) and Rouffignac caves), Bug, Sarlat, Roque Gajac, Roque St Christophe, Hautefort, Les Eyzies, listed villages, gourmet markets , castles, rivers and cellars…). Descent of the Vézère by canoe kayak... In the summer season, the Périgord Noir is full of entertainment and festivities.
Sarlat-la-Canéda is 43 km from the accommodation, while Brive-la Gaillarde is 47 km away. The ancient town of Périgueux, capital of the Dordogne is 24 km away.
