The Area:
This neighborhood is the Mill Village of Fountain Inn as the homes were built next to Woodside Mill when it was an operating cotton textile mill. The Fountain Inn Museum has photos and much more about that time. Although that mill is no longer there, its history lives on through these homes.
From this home, you can walk to to any of the downtown shops and restaurants! Fountain Inn is a festive town (think Stars Hollow) and we love to celebrate. At Halloween, Fountain Inn closes Main Street so that thousands of people can gather and trick-or-treat! At Christmas, the city provides ticketed horse-drawn carriage rides and other holiday festivities. They pull out all the stops for the 4th of July! During the summer there is live music on Friday nights in Commerce Park (BYO camp chair), and throughout the year there are a number of family-friendly festivals including the Cornbread & Collard Greens Blues Festival, the Aunt Het Festival, and the Italian Festival, just to name a few.
We are also just a 25 minute drive to downtown Greenville, a 10 minute drive to downtown Simpsonville, and a 35 minute drive to downtown Greer. From our house, you can jump on 385 in about 3 minutes!
Don't worry, we have have a list of local favorites in the guest book inside the home, and you can always message us for recommendations!
