While the interior of the cottage is a dream, the outdoor living space is a dream come true! Relax by the lavish outdoor rock fireplace while preparing the perfect meal on the gourmet built-in propane grill. 3 couples away from the hustle and bustle of work and home. Updated kitchen was just as described and had all the comforts and needs of home. Outdoor space from hot tub to outdoor fireplace all used. Great place to relax and tell stories with friends . Can’t say enough. We loved our stay here.

Our family chose to do a relaxing Spring Break in Hill Country this year. We loved the property and had a great time. The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful, the kids liked seeing the animals outside and the backyard was a peaceful place to read and relax.

This house was so relaxing and perfect for a group of friends to unwind and reconnect. The star watching was amazing and we saw shooting stars. The beauty of this place was so peaceful and quiet. We will definitely come back again!

Great Country Get Away
We have booked this place twice, and both times we really enoyed it. It's really nice to feel like you are away from everything busy, but still a few minutes away from Fredericksburg and all the shopping and site seeing. I would highly recommend stepping out at night and doing some star gazing, it's definitely a site to behold. You might want to make sure you have house shoes, though. If youre out in the Texas country, you're likely to run into some little critters. Just keep your bananas peeled and watch where youre stepping. Great place to relax and recharge.

We enjoyed the great views from the living area and porch - with a feeder situated to bring in the turkey and deer. Happy hours on the porch were great, even when it rained. We enjoyed the hot tub, outdoor fireplace, and walks down the country road. The extra fans and cozy throws in the home were nice to have since the weather was weird and our group was wildly divergent on their comfort preferences. Very pleased with our stay!

This is a great place to stay. It’s far enough away from town to enjoy the quiet but close enough to town for shopping, eating, etc. We didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors due to the cold and rainy weather but look forward to going back at a future date and spend some time outside.

We had a blast at Flint River Cottage. The somewhat remote property gave us a sense of privacy. We loved exploring the land, sitting on the covered porch and watching for deer and hanging out in the hot tub. Internet reception was a bit spotty, but the house was well equipped and welcoming. We will be back.

Loved this cute cottage for our ladies birthday trip! Very spacious and well decorated. Some of the dishes we needed were not provided (tall beverage glasses or cups) but plenty of wine glasses! Beds were very comfortable as well! Very quiet and peaceful. I would recommend and stay here again.

We have stayed at several VRBO properties and this one ranks in the top three. Beautiful property. Peaceful and clean. If you are looking for solitude this is the place. If we stay near Fredericksburg again this is the place we would stay.

Amazing place to stay!
We stayed here with our children and everyone enjoyed it. It is peaceful and beautiful. There were lots of birds, deer and rabbits (outside the fence ) and plenty of room to walk around. The hot tub was perfect too.

This place had everything we needed for a beautiful and relaxing time in the countryside. We loved both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and our kids loved the hot tub and the hammock. The only problem we had was it was impossible for my husband to work from here remotely. We could text but that was about it. I often was unable to get phone calls to go through. We made use of the DVD player provided to circumvent the TV signal issue. It’s a beautiful drive to get here, and a well laid out floor plan. Loved all the king size beds!

This property was absolutely heavenly! The bedrooms were comfy, the kitchen was perfect, and the fireplaces-both inside and out-made the chilly nights delightful. The house was clean and fully stocked with anything and everything we could have needed. The cows were friendly and the peacefulness of the stay was much needed. We will definitely be coming back!

A fantastic peaceful location with a great outdoor entertaining space with nature at every glance. The property was as described and it was great to have it stocked with an initial supply of coffee, spices, toilet paper, etc. Great internet service in an area where a cell phone signal is not guaranteed.

Family Reinion
Eight family members and plenty of room for all of us. The house was well stocked and the property was so lovely. It is so quiet out in the country. We enjoyed being away from city life. The men enjoyed the catch and release in the creek. Even though it was warm days the hot tub felt so good in the mornings. We highly recommend this home.

This house was the best part of our trip!
Check in was super easy, communication from property manager was excellent and made the whole process pleasant. We enjoyed the house so much we couldn’t wait to get back every evening to sit and rock on the porch with a cool drink. The location is so private and the entire property is amazing. We all just wanted to stay and live there!
