Recharge and Relax - Riverfront Home on 5 acres

Fisherman's Paradise is a modern home built to resemble a traditional German haus on 5 acres along the Pedernales River. It's rustic beauty, antiques, modern amenities, and views of the Pedernales River from every window along the back of the house will have you relaxing immediately. On rainy days, you will see the wet weather creek to the left of the house come to life with a small flow of water heading towards the Pedernales River. One of our favorite features of the property is the beautiful flat field that can be found by following the River Trail or the dirt road on the far right of the property.

It is a short 12 mile drive from Frederickburg, but the drive is so scenic you will not mind. The property is situated on what is now the part of the ghost town of Morris Ranch and your drive down Morris Ranch Road is like entering the past. The property book located in the house will have several pages of history and photographs.

Upon entering the front gates of the property, you will see a beautiful German style home with a large covered front porch to sit and enjoy nature. There are 5 beautiful acres for you to explore and relax along the Pedernales River. Bring your family, fishing poles, kayaks, and outdoor games. It is a great property for an adults only weekend or a family getaway.

It is truly our pleasure to welcome you to our home away from home in Fredericksburg. Until we are ready to retire on the Pedernales River, we are happy to offer nightly rentals for people who enjoy the peace of country living that is about 15 minutes from the historic downtown.

Although many visit Fredericksburg for shopping and the wineries, we have found that the relaxation possibilities are endless at Fisherman's Paradise. It is a great home to read a book, walk/drive/cycle to view the historic buildings that still remain from the Ghost Town of Morris Ranch, fish, explore, spend the day at "The Falls" and enjoy s'mores at the fire pit. It is impossible to be bored with so many outdoor activities for you and your family.

For the cycling enthusiasts, we are pleased to let you know that the house is located along the 3 beautiful cycling routes that range from 22 to 55 miles. Or, discover your own route and discover the historic buildings of Morris Ranch.

My family and I had a wonderful time staying at this property!! It was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing! We enjoyed fishing on the property and also took several walks down to the falls which were so much fun to explore. It was an easy drive into Fredericksburg for shopping and dining. The beds were so comfortable and had the softest blankets! We will definitely stay here again next time we visit the area!

Hidden Gem in the TX Hill Country
We booked this property three years in advance for the Solar Eclipse, the only place that would allow booking that early. We were overwhelmed by the place from the moment we drove in. The location was peaceful with dark skies for star gazing, a yard full of wildflowers, and great views and access to the Pedernales river. The special touches from the towels folded into swans to the handmade soaps made this feel almost like a spa. We felt at home here, and can’t wait to book again in the future as Fredericksburg is one of our frequent destinations. Our host was fantastic, easy to communicate with, and was super quick to respond when we had questions. We talked about how we wanted to buy the property if we won the powerball. In our opinion, it’s the best location of all of Morris Ranch. Stay here, you will love it.

This is by far our favorite place in the hill country! The back porch with the river view is amazing, and you’re still only 20 minutes if you want to go town. The house has everything you could possibly need.

I rented this property for my family while on Christmas break. It did not disappoint. My husband, 2 sons, and my 3 yr old granddaughter loved to go fishing everyday...sometimes twice a day. When we wanted we would run into town for shopping, HEB, or sightseeing. We cooked all meals but one at the house. It was stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals....plates, bowls, pots/pans, utensils, paper towels, etc. While it did have a great dog run area, we didn't use it because the house was far enough off the road that they got to run free in the yard. They especially loved going to the river and running/playing down there. Everyone had a great stay and we would certainly rent again!

Amazing Place!!
We loved this place!! The communication was great and you can tell the owners just want the people staying to have a great time! This is definitely a place you could stay a week just enjoying the property and a few fun things in Fredericksburg! It was on the river so we enjoyed fishing and walking around. The fire pit was fun for our kids. Everyone (even the pets) loved running around and being outside together. Our only regret is that we didn’t book it longer.

We really enjoyed our time. The house was perfect for a couple small families to have a weekend away. The river front location can’t be beat - far enough from Fredericksburg that we had beautiful starry nights by the fire pit, but close enough to get to Fredericksburg and all the wineries and breweries.
