A great hotel that provided one of the very best breakfasts I have ever had in a hotel, included with our room rental! Lots if choices of fresh fruit, pastries, breads, breakfast meats as bacon, sausage, links, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee and teas. The bed was comfortable and the shower worked well, too. We thought the price was reasonable and the location was easily accessible by major thoroughfares. Give tgem actry, and you will be glad you did!

Iā€™ve been using this hotel for years, always friendly and helpful. The only complaint is they have moved the reception area near the bar area, you cannot hear anything when talking to the receptionist as itā€™s too loud especially when theirs a live band on. Itā€™s not good when the receptionist have to wear ear plugs. Wanted ask somethings to the receptionist and gave up.

Great location.
Good location close to train station. A little dated but nice vibe. Very competent and friendly staff. Lovely breakfast buffet. Also as we had an early departure they provided a breakfast takeaway bag which was lovely.

Always a great stay at Gustaf Wasa, The breakfast staff are helpful with my dietary requirements (Thanks) The receptionist staff are very friendly and welcoming especially Hanna. Would definitely recommend. Thanks again.

Big disappointment
I canā€™t believe the hotel is actually aspiring for a 4-star standard. To me itā€™s a clear 3-star hotel. The hotel is in need of a renovation as itā€™s quite run down. The bath room was of sub 3-star standard in my opinion. Plastic flooring, almost 1 cm gap between bath tub and wall so there was water all over the floor after a shower, the shower handle felt really cheap and there was only a body wash and soap (no shampoo, conditioner or anything else). Also there was no mini bar / fridge in the room. The bed was soft and I liked the bed and pillows. Iā€™ve stayed at many hotels and these pillows were actually one of the nicer pillows I ever slept on. Maybe I was super tired, I donā€™t know. Breakfast was nice and they had a large selection of things to eat. Service was also good. No complaints there. We will came back to BorlƤnge, but we will most likely not stay here again.

Arrogant restaurant personnel
At the hotel restaurant we were first ignored when sitting down by a table to order dinner, when asking to order, we were arrogantly dismissed because the table was booked and we hadnā€™t booked any other table that evening.. There was no interest in showing us to any of the multiple free tables in the room next doors. We had to go outside to find another restaurant late that evening (which of course did not accomplish our expectation of a calm hotel dinner with good food).
