This particular hotel Had many vagrants standing around in front all the time. Security locks the doors and doesn’t allow people to freely walk in and out due to this. I believe it is because the two convenience store that are real close.

Last time in NOLA we stared in the OMNI and loved it. Decided to give the Astor a try as we love most IHG hotels we have stayed at. This one is in the middle of everything and only a block from the Ritz so thought it would be great but.... 1) poorly maintained property. 2 rooms we stayed in had leaky bathroom fixtures and shower curtain rods falling off the walls 2) staff just not that friendly 3) not all rooms have refrigerators 4) one room was net to elevator and elevator noise was loud enough to keep me awake (and I can sleep through just about anything) 5) overall lack of linnens. We have a child so getting three towels and maybe a blanket would be amazing. We did grab a couple additional towls off the maids cart after the ones we ordered didnt arrive. Maids too the extras back and we were back to 2 towels the next day. 6) Now, possibly the worst experience ever in a hotel, the Astor booked a room level convention just 2 doord sown from the room we were staying prompting us to change rooms on our last night due to the noise which continued late into the night. Now I get hotels will sell an entire room wing out for events like this but every other hotel ive seen do this relocated the guests first! I dont advise staying here. Management simply doesnt care about expedia customers having a pleasant stay!

My toilet was stopped up soon as I arrived. The next day, it flooded the entire bathroom. It took staff too long to come fix it. I asked for new sheets / comforter, I got them the next day so for one night I had 1 sheet to stay warm
