I stay here because I can drop off my luggage at the hotel entrance then return my rental car, & then check in. This trip there were no bellhops to be found! I am handicap & it was very upsetting, until a valet attendant went all out to help me! The pool is too shallow & only a ladder for access. I swim but have great difficulty climbing ladders so it was a big disappointment. The desk staff usually act snobbish & if you have a request or comment they totally ignore your needs - I am the customer! The restaurant: excellent service, the staff will chat & convey any message or request. The food is excellent & I have many times sent or delivered my own compliments to the chef.

I chose this hotel due to its proximity to the airport and the fact it had an indoor pool to entertain the children when we got off our cruise and waited for our flight. Unfortunately we arrived to discover the pool was closed and the location meant transit back into Vancouver for alternative options was expensive and time - consuming. It also felt like the extras were extremely expensive ($16 to watch Finding Nemo with the children; very expensive charges for room service food that did not feel 'thoughtfully made' (e.g. Kids' Pizza with tomato sauce and cheese only cover about one third of it; cold scrambed eggs in the all-day breakfast). If you need a hotel in close proximity to the airport then it cannot be beaten but it did not represent good value

Fairmont is a high quality property. Everyone from the valet service to the front desk was excellent and very attentive. Sleeping on a cloud
We had to stay overnight due to cancelled flight. It was busy late at night. The restaurant staff were amazing, the beds were beyond comfortable (felt like I was sleeping on a cloud).
