Your perfect vacation!

Chalet by the river is a cozy chalet style home on the banks of the Yellowstone River with views all around. The wrap around deck provides a place to relax and enjoy the view with your family and friends while grilling dinner in the outdoor kitchen complete with BBQ, small fridge and a 6 seat bar.

We offered the chalet for rent to folks visiting our area in the past but decided to enjoy it ourselves for a few years. We are again making it available for your vacation in Yellowstone and southern Montana. So plan the family vacation you've been waiting for. If your group is larger, you may want to rent or smaller Cabin By The River along with the chalet. The cabin sleeps 5. We know you will love it!

Guests prefer our country location a way from the crowds, yet only a short distance to Gardiner, the north entrance to Yellowstone. We know you will not be disappointed! There are 4 bedrooms as well as 2 other sleeping areas accommodating up to 12 people. There is a large open great room dining room kitchen. The table will easily seat 9-10. The outdoor space is large and open with a fenced in backyard, swing set, tether ball, volleyball and soccer field. You may want to fish the Yellowstone River, a blue ribbon trout stream, just below the house. Hiking trail heads are within walking distance. The Yellowstone Hot Springs is just 4 miles up the road which is a natural hot springs with a variety of pools to enjoy.

UK to Yellowstone trip
The property was wonderful, both in terms of facilities and location. Absolutely ideal for our party. The hosts, Chris and Warren, we do helpful and provided everything we needed - often before we had asked. Warren gave us invaluable advice on wildlife spotting - which resulted in us seeing bears and cubs - thank you Warren. We would love to come back.

Amazing Rental
We loved the property right on the Yellowstone River. The cabin was beautiful and well supplied with everything you would need. The decoration and personal touches made it a cozy and welcoming home. Enjoyed it very much and didn’t want to leave.

It felt like home!!
We couldn't check in the day we we're supposed because out fly got delay by an entire day and the owners were genuinely concerned about us. When we finally got to the cabin, Warren the owner was there to welcome us and i can say that i felt like i was visiting a family member! We also met Jack his adorable dog, he took me to see the river! The cabin is beautiful! It has sooo many places to sit down and enjoy the beautiful view! The way the owner decorated the cabin is beautiful. I enjoyed taking my time and watering the flowers they have in the porch. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very confortable. I am a clean freak and i felt very confortable with the cleanness of the cabin. I am strongly recommend anyone to stay in this cabin and i hope to come back soon, maybe in the winter :)

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! So clean! Kitchen well stocked. Bathrooms and laundry were clean and large. 3 separate floors and 2 kitchens. Will definitely book for our next fishing vacation. Did I mention that it sits directly on the Yellowstone river?!?

Perfect vacation home for family/friends
This was the perfect vacation rental for our group of 5. It’s spacious, clean, and cozy. The location is close to the North Gate of Yellowstone and the Yellowstone Hot Springs. The views and surrounding beautiful mountains were so serene. The check-in process and communication with the hosts was nice and easy. I highly recommend this place!

Chris and Warren were wonderful hosts to us. Their home was beautifully appointed, clean, and well maintained. The location was perfect for day trips into Yellowstone, adventuring to the hot springs down the road and just having down days at the house. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and the grill worked wonderfully. As a wonderful bonus, Chris and Warren showed us a really fun spot off the beaten path where we got to see grizzlies grazing. We had a wonderful stay!

Family Yellowstone Vacation
The house was perfect for our Yellowstone vacation! A very short drive to the North entrance, the property was private with great views and access to the Yellowstone River. There was plenty for our kids to do with games in the yard (tetherball was the favorite) and fishing in the river. Chris greeted us at the house to show us the property and offer her hospitality while Warren gave the kids some tips for fishing. The house had a great Montana feel and was more than equipped with everything we needed to enjoy some downtime while not in the park. Everything in the house was clean and very well maintained. The pictures cannot capture the beauty. Thanks for everything!

Great location for a family reunion
We had 11 people aged 6-74 in our group and everyone loved the property. The house was very clean and comfortable and Chris and Warren were wonderful hosts. This was a perfect spot for our family to gather!

50th Anniversary
It was our parents' 50th wedding anniversary. This house was perfect. My father's walking is labored and we wanted something close to the water. The walk down to the river was a little steep for him, but it is beautiful. My parents had the bedroom on the main floor. My husband and I had plenty of room in the upstairs bed/bathroom. The best surprise was downstairs... it had 3 sleeping areas, a living room and a kitchen with a dining table. It was an entire house down there. The house is very well stocked and the washer and dryer were a plus, we packed light for flying and washed regularly. The wrap around porch was used for morning coffee, evening drinks, and we grilled hamburgers one night. The birds in the fir trees came visit us each morning. We were only 6 people, but had plenty room for at least 4 more adults. Fabulous house and location.

We were a family of 11...9 adults, a 1 month old, and a 3 year old. This was a fabulous home with everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for us, close enough to town but with the privacy we enjoy. There were plenty of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and even crockpots. The property was as described with beautiful views and the magnificent Yellowstone River right in the backyard. We did fish, and caught several rainbow trout and mountain whitefish. We can not recommend this place enough! You will not be disappointed. The owners are fabulous and even had a neighbor come over to give us tips on where to hike for the best views and animal sightings.

Absolutely perfect!
We loved everything about this home! From the amazing views, super comfortable rooms, to the close location to Gardiner and Yellowstone. The owners are super sweet and close by to help out if needed! We were a family of 11 people and never felt crowded. The home is well stocked with everything we needed. We had many adventures close by…hiking, horseback riding, zip lining, rafting. And exploring Yellowstone. Just perfect!
