Beautiful private community on the top of Gatlinburg up ski view drive. Panoramic views of the mountains around and a private pool

This cabin is located near the peak of Gatlinburg, a few kilometers up the mountain. Downtown, Ober, and the National Park are all easily accessible!

Reward yourself with the BEST VIEWS!!! The roads can get windy and a little steep. Despite being mountain roads, they are well-kept. Any car can manage it, but in the winter if there is snow or ice, you will want 4WD!

Unless accompanied by a parent, ALL GUESTS must be 25 years of age or older. A maximum of six people may be present. Your reservation will be cancelled without a refund if you violate either of these conditions.

Across the street from the cabin is the pool. It operates on a seasonal basis, usually from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The opening and closing of the pool is beyond our control.


ONE pet under 50lbs is allowed. Pets must be in a crate when you are not in the cabin and not allowed on the furniture or the beds. If hair needs to be removed from bedding or furnishings, an additional $250 cost will be charged.

There is a basic supply of toilet paper and paper towels provided, but you should plan to buy additional supplies. There are no provisions for spices, coffee, filters, oil, food items, shampoo, etc.

The breathtaking view from this cabin requires climbing of mountain routes. Although they can be windy, they are safe in any car. Only a few miles of mountain roads lead up from downtown Gatlinburg, but you'll need 4WD if there's snow or ice on the roads.

The property was very nice and well kept. We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub and sauna were very nice. The location of the jetted tub was kind of odd and not private., but to fit all the rooms I understand why it was put where it was. Be prepared for a long windy road to get to the property but the view was amazing.

Top of the World was just that!
We had a great and enjoyable time in Top of the World chalet! Everything was just as described and we felt right at home. It was peaceful and high above the busyness of the town. The property manager kept in contact and was quick to respond to any questions we had.

The view makes this place! We stayed during a snow storm in Gatlinburg and it was beautiful. However, the place is in need of serious updating. The chair in the LR is worn out and dirty, the couch has a broken end and the downstairs bedroom mattress needs replacing as it is flat and saggy. (There are two other bedrooms upstairs but we did not use so can't comment on those.) Kitchen towels were old, stained and frayed. However, bathroom towels were clean and plentiful. Also, there is mold in the downstairs bathroom shower (Tilex might help). We did not use the hot tub or jacuzzi but they were clean. We did not complain to the host about the issues because there was nothing she could do at that point but maybe our review addresses things to consider for the near future? On a positive note, the location of the home and the killer view really makes this place! Laura was great to work with and quick to respond to any questions.

Quick Mountain Get Away
We found this property fairly last minute though it was booked all around our dates we were just looking for a few days away before Christmas. My husband and I and our two daughters and newly arrived German exchange daughter made this location our base for exploring Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge along with our little cavapoo. We had to get used to the swirly steep roads leading to the rental and were thankful it was not snowy or icy but the views from our deck made it all worthwhile. It was a short drive to Gatlinburg where we got an Ober wristband for a day and a short drive to Pigeon Forge for the Dolly Stampede. We also did nearby waterfall hikes and explored the Elkmont campground where our dog was free to join. The hot tub on the deck was a nice touch and the video game was also fun. We had tons of space for the 5 of us and enjoyed using the well stocked kitchen and full sized fridge to eat in a couple of times. We had good communication with the owner/property manager and all was smooth.

Wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
I can’t begin to say enough positive things about this property and the owner. It has every amenity one could ask for with amazing views and privacy. Our small family celebrated a very relaxing Thanksgiving, including a drive through the National Park, which was just minutes away from our door. A severe windstorm occurred during the stay and the owner even sent bottled water to make sure we had plenty during a brief outage. I’ve never stayed at a Vrbo where I felt more at home. Thank you for some awesome family memories!

This property is amazing. It is exactly as pictured. The view during the day and the night is mesmerizing. We had night time bears and coyotes visit. The balcony is very high so no worries. Very cozy and beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Amazing views!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The views are absolutely amazing!! The cabin is in a cute little cul-de-sac neighborhood on top of the mountain. The neighborhood is quiet which made for a relaxing vacation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We will definitely be back!! :)

Top Of The World
Top of the world at the end of the road chalet with REMARKABLE vistas. See both towns of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge from your perch in the sky. The chalet was tidy and the small cul-de-sac community of only a handful of homes was both quiet and picturesque. Host communication was quick and check in was simple. Be advised that the roads up the mountain to the chalet are narrow and winding-arrive during daylight hours if it is your first trip to this location. The electric fireplace was controlled through the mute button on the TV control-we found this out by chance (frequency issue). Wifi signal was strong with no issues. The hot tub, sauna and indoor whirlpool tub were nice amenities although we did not use any of them. The chalet is located about 10 minutes above Gatlinburg center. We will definitely stay here again.

Amazing views of Smokies and Wears Valley, excellent host, wildlife...2 very large black bears that visit the back porch daily. Close enough to town but just fast enough away. Clean and pet friendly! Host maintained contact and available to address any issues or questions, but house book was able to answer all questions.
