Great spa facilities. Extensive picturesque grounds for golfing . We enjoyed a relaxing swim followed by a lovely dinner. We were lucky to have had great weather to enjoy the beautiful grounds for a summer evening stroll. We could not fault the breakfast, lots of choices and variety of options for every taste and the waiting staff were so attentive. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

On arrival we were amazed at how beautiful and luxurious the hotel looked to be. We booked in and were told our room was in fact ‘out of the hotel and up the road opposite the security check in desk’. This is when we then became very disappointed sadly. The rooms we were in were called the Paddock, room 40, totally unaware when we booked this was the case, it really should have been made clear! The room left a lot to be desired unfortunately. It was excessively hot, so bad that we couldn’t stay in it during the day, so we spent most of our time out. There was no air con, just a small fan which did little but circulate the already hot air. There was no space to book into the restaurant, so we ate in the bar, pizza lovely but chips undercooked :( no gin glasses either much to my husbands disappointment at having expensive gin in a half pint glass!! The condition of the room was poor, with digs out of the walls and damaged bed. Plus worn and damaged door frames. The fridge didn’t work, so we ended up buying cold cups in a half attempt to have a cold drink in the room as every thing heated up so quickly in there! No tea and coffee available, until I opened the door to the wardrobe on the morning of leaving to see the kettle and items hidden away! Neat sewerage smell coming from the bathroom! Awful 2 nights sleep on a very hard mattress, to the point my arm and shoulder hurt so bad on Saturday morning I was questioning if it was the pain for the sign of a heart attack!!!

Staff was brilliant except for one person who tried to charge us £25 for a cot even though the website clearly states all under 5s are entitled to a cot including in the original price for our 2 year old. Excellent quality of breakfast and great place for families. We had such a great time.

Great vibrant hotel, which was very busy. Service was very good. Room are spotless but a little dated. Breakfast and dinner was excellant but bar food was not so good (sandwich was more bread than filling, falafel was a veggie bite). Spa and leisure club were excellant. Lovely trip to local vineyard

For old times sake
We stayed for one night in a club room which was very spacious clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the generous freebies too. I was a member of the leisure club since the hotel opened but I haven’t been back for ten years. I did feel not a lot had changed. The decor is dated now but still clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. The pool facilities are still really lovely, even though I can see in places an update is needed. I would definitely stay again in this busy hotel

Lovely Hotel
We had a great time. The large hotel is very well appointed. There are some great outdoor spaces (which we didnt use because of the rain!) The motor racing theme was fun and my son enjoyed the games room
