A Secluded & Relaxing Waterfront Oasis.
Completely renovated and updated. Fully air-conditioned 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath 1,800sf house with magnificent views of Elizabeth Harbour and Stocking Island.
2 King suites, 1 with ensuite. 3rd. bedroom hosts a Queen.
Wifi.
2 patios for finding some 'me' time.
A large deck that spans the front of the house to catch up on rays in one of the chaise lounges, relax on the couch and watch the boats sail into the Harbour or dine alfresco with the outside dining table that seats 4-6 people, all the while watching the ever changing magical hues of the turquoise water.
Indoors- enjoy a fully stocked kitchen, 5 burner gas stove, elec. oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee maker, coffee grinder, etc... stocked pantry. Everything you need, just add your groceries.
Dining table that fits 6-8 people.
Large sunroom overlooking the deck and the harbour.
Netflix and a library of DVD's in the tv room. Also games and puzzles if you care to take a day off from exploring.
Mere steps to the waters edge. A rock shoreline with steps leading into the water is perfect for snorkeling and hunting for sand dollars. (Snorkel gear included.) Also 3 kayaks and 1 paddle baord.
Xanadu is 10 minutes from the airport.

3 minute drive to the closest beach, Jolly Hall Beach (One of the ones you can see from the house. And one of our faves.)

We do suggest renting a car so you can explore Exuma and what it has to offer...

Take an excursion to swim with the pigs, play with the iguanas and snorkel in Thunderball Grotto where they filmed a couple of Bond, James Bond movies. ;)

Xanadu House
I want to start off with saying that Lisa was an excellent host, always available to answer questions and work through issues. The house and its rooms/bathrooms/overall decor is on the older side and has a slightly weird floor plan (main entrance through one of the bedrooms, there is only a sliding door (no lock) on the side of the house where kitchen and dining area is. We had a few issues (no fault of the house), rather island dysfunction like electricity that was shut off which affected the water. The water was consistently shut off 10pm-6pm due to infrastructure work on the island. Again, no fault of the house but inconvenient for 2 weeks. What we enjoyed the most is the view from master bedroom and kitchen areas, deck. Being able to jump in the water and swim right below the house was amazing. What we enjoyed the least was the uncomfortable couch in the TV area and the super small bedroom in the middle. Lisa really did the best she could to make our stay comfortable, however next time I would probably look for a more updated, modern house (there are a few in the area). Good experience overall though. For those traveling to Exuma first time, the infrastructure is not the best (poor roads, potholes, issues with electricity and water). The kitchen in the house is really well equipped for those that know how to cook - not many good restaurants in Exuma and food is expensive. Georgetown is far from fancy and GGT airport is a joke, especially Silver Airways (never again).

Absolutely amazing!
This home was more than perfect for our stay in Exuma! The views from the house and back deck were stunning. The fact that we could walk out of the house and jump in the water to snorkel made the trip even better! The house is stocked with everything one could need for their vacay. The beds were super comfortable. And they have a great library of DVD's to watch at night :) Lisa and Frank were so accommodating and helpful through the entire process. We will definitely be back again!

Maryellen M. My family and I recently traveled to Exuma for the first time in May. First off it is one of the most breathtaking islands that we have ever had the privilege of visiting! Secondly, we couldn't have picked a more beautiful property to stay at then Xanadu House! The house has the most spectacular views from every angle!!! It is well appointed with everything you could possibly need for your island stay. A wonderful surprise for us was the treats that were left in the refrigerator upon our arrival! Lisa and Frank were a wealth of information about the island with great communication!! We will be visiting Xanadu House and Exuma again of that we are sure! This house is a beautiful hidden gem!

Little piece of Heaven
We spent Spring Break in Exuma. There were 6 of us at Xanadu ages spanning 16-84 years old. IT WAS PERFECT. The view is amazing. The pictures don't even do it justice. Our family of 4 would adventure out during the day and the grandparents were completely happy enjoying the view from the enclosed sunroom (morning) and out on the deck (afternoon). The sunroom is incredible when the breeze stops and the bugs move in. The little no see ums and sand gnats are everywhere you go on the island, but you don't notice them if there is a breeze...when the breeze stop, watch out! The sunroom offers the perfect solution...you can enjoy the view and stay away from the bugs! This house is incredible. It has more than you could ever need. Most VRBOs have a "starter" of everything (detergent, dish soap, shampoo, etc). Lisa and Frank provide EVERYTHING. Full size in most cases. I was completely blown away. So generous and completely unexpected. The kitchen has everything you need and more. Even the refrigerator had most staples (mustard, Mayo, spices, sauces). This is a nice touch in the States...but SUPER helpful on a remote island. Lisa is an incredible communicator and provided so much information in preparation for our trip and was super responsive while we were on island with questions. She went above and beyond. We will be back!

Xanadu was a great place for 4 winter weary pals to relax and just enjoy everything that Great Exhuma has to offer. Next time I would probably pack food so that I could take advantage of the well equipped kitchen that Xanadu has to offer.

A Dream Beach House
We stayed at the Xanadu house 2 weeks ago. The home and the views were nothing compared to the photos; it was even more beautiful and breathtaking in person. It was 6 of us and we were all comfortable in our own spaces. The sunrises are amazing especially with the sound of the waves if you sit down by the rocks. It truly was a vacation we will never forget. Lisa and Frank had all the amenities we needed. We did bring some of our own food such as, frozen ribs, steak, ground beef, chicken, canned tomato sauce, pasta, and some snacks. I did my homework for this family trip location so I was aware at the cost of food on the island. It’s expensive because everything has to get shipped to the island by boat. Liquor, jewelry, and perfumes are some of the things that you’ll find inexpensive on the island. Bringing some food from home was very helpful; we used dry ice for packing it in our suitcases. We ate out too. We went to Shirley’s which is a cute little spot close to the home… we ended up stopping there again for the conch salad that’s made on demand right next to Shirley’s. The people on the island are very friendly and helpful. For a night out we went to the Exuma Yacht Club which is like 5 minutes from the house. They have live music on Wednesdays which was a blast!! I would absolutely stay at this house again. Cleo the housekeeper was very responsive and so sweet! Thank you Lisa and Frank for sharing your beautiful beach house.

Incredible Experience!
This is a fabulous house and we could not have been more pleased with our experience there. Absolutely incredible views! The owners were delightful and provided so much information about the island. There were so many nice touches that we appreciated: coffee being provided, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, plenty of spaces to relax, the list goes on. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on Exuma. The location was perfect and very close to grocery stores and liquor store. We didn't want for anything with this rental: beach chairs, towels, snorkel equipment, laundry detergent, etc. We'll be back and would most definitely rent Xanadu from these lovely and gracious hosts! Dream Vacation of a Lifetime
The location and property absolutely cannot be better for an island escape. The ocean view from the home is breathtaking, mesmerizing, and oh so relaxing. No filters needed on photos! The home is centrally located, and easy to get to most restaurants and activities. What an incredible home base for fun island adventures like Scuba diving, swimming w/ pigs and sharks, or water taxi-ing to Chat N’ Chill for a Sunday BBQ. Additionally, the hosts, Lisa and Frank, are wonderful, kind, and so communicative — we felt so comfortable and well-informed by the time we arrived. They have put so much love, care, and thoughtful touches throughout this beautiful home - high quality linens, well-stocked kitchen, beautiful decor! We loved every second of our time at Xanadu. Our daughters (now in college) said it was the best vacation we have ever experienced!

Gorgeous Xanadu Family Vacation
What a spectacular stay at the beautiful Xanadu!! The location was perfect and easily accessible. The house was beautiful and had so much character! The set up was perfect for our family as well. The views are a sight to see everyday and the ability to snorkel and kayak right from our backyard was amazing. The hosts and house manager were fantastic and made our stay comfortable! They gave us so much useful information that made planning our days perfect! This was our first trip to the unbelievably gorgeous Exumas and it surely will not be our last!! The beaches were unreal and the blue waters were unmatched! We absolutely loved our stay at Xanadu!!

Our family of 5 had the best time at Xanadu and couldn’t have been happier with our stay. We loved having our own space to enjoy the gorgeous views of the back deck and all the little things they had to make our vacation more enjoyable. I could sit for hours and just look at the view. Lisa and Frank were so helpful with the million questions I had since it was our first family vacation to Exuma. Very quick to respond and always helpful especially when we were almost stranded because of flooding rain. We can’t wait to go back !

A gorgeous place to relax and enjoy with family. We are a family of five (including three “adult” children). Aside from the beautiful view and secluded swimming/kayaking access, the home itself is spacious, homey, and comfortable. We loved cooking, napping, playing games, and just using the space to rest. We swam and kayaked every day, rain or shine — and really appreciated the outdoor shower :) Lisa and Frank have thought of everything you might need, and were responsive and organized. Cleo, the housekeeper gave us a very warm welcome in a lovely, clean home. Thank you so much for sharing your space with us!

Stunning views and tons of character
Small travelling group of friends who enjoy turquoise waters, quiet peaceful surroundings, just enough action to keep things interesting, good food & good company. This house delivered all of those. It's hard to stop staring at those gorgeous Exuma blues, and we all had a great time hanging out here for a week. The house is close to town, and close to supplies meaning a well-stocked convenient location to enjoy some much needed R&R. A great 2nd visit to Georgetown, it won't be our last. Number 1… the house is absolutely beautiful! the island is amazing the food fantastic. We went to several different beaches, rented a boat for 2 days, the sting rays at chat n chill are super sweet and let you feed them. I will definitely be back again..

Xanadu house was such a beautiful, large home. AC worked great when needed, and the beds were SO comfy. Lisa and Frank had lots of great extras like spices, coffee/filters, trash bags, soaps and shampoos, sunscreen, bug spray...you name it! The view is just insanely beautiful. The best part though was that they were super-responsive hosts, and they provided a ton of useful information. Definitely would stay here again. Exuma is such a lovely island where you can slow down and enjoy nature. Everyone in my family loved the space and vacation. Thank you!

Breathtaking view and perfect location
We absolutely loved our stay at Xanadu. It was perfect for our family of four. We did not want to leave! The house was well stocked with everything from linens, kitchen supplies, condiments, and paper supplies. The view is so much better in person and the breeze kept all the bugs away. Lisa's communication was top notch and we appreciated all of her recommendations. Cleo stopped by on our second day to make sure everything was as expected. She is fantastic and also has a business where she cooks meals for vacationers. We wish we had not bought so many groceries or we would have booked her services. We rented a boat from Minns for two days which was a great way to see all the islands in Elizabeth Harbour. We also did the half-day tour with Exuma water sports which was fun for our whole family. The people in Exuma are so kind and genuine. We would not hesitate to book at Xanadu for another vacation!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was even better and bigger than the pictures showed. We rented a boat and had a great time exploring all of the beaches and Stocking Island. Lisa was very helpful in getting us everything we needed prior to arrival. The house was very well equipped. We would recommend staying at Xanadu!
