In the villa there are five luxurious rooms equipped with all comforts and four lounges with piano and billiards, dining room and reading room with fireplace, in addition to the medieval hall.
In the front of the villa there is a patio facing the garden that will allow you to relax in spring and summer enjoying a delicious breakfast with fresh local products.
Alternatively, the breakfast buffet can be served in the back gardens by the pool.
Surrounded by greenery with lawns and gardens both in the front and in the back, there is a circular pool to allow guests to cool off during the hottest periods.
The Villa is situated on the slopes of the Giara plateau. The fame of the area is mainly linked to its wild and uncontaminated beauty, inhabited by very rare animals. The area is in fact frequented by the only herd existing in Italy and in Europe of wild horses better known as "Giara horses". Of small dimensions, their origin is shrouded in mystery, particular that enhances the charm of these robust and peaceful animals. All this environment is dominated by cork oaks. Unique feature of these trees is their "crooked posture". Almost all of them, in fact, appear to be inclined because of the force of the wind that blows impetuously and undisturbed for almost the whole year, managing to bend the plants, even when small and resting them over the years to an almost oblique position.
In addition to the churches and gave birth to Fra Nicola, beatified in 1999 by Pope John Paul Ii and now close to sanctification as requested by Pope Francis. the territory of Gesturi is characterized by the presence of numerous nuraghic sites. In fact, the quantity of pre-nuragic testimonies (menhir, domus de janas), nuragiche like the nuraghe and the giants' tombs, and the Punic-roman ones present on the territory is impressive. As mentioned before, various studies and research have made it possible to estimate the presence of about thirty nuragic and archaeological sites. In addition to the protonuraghe "Bruncu Madugui", there are 32 other sites, almost all located on the Giara plateau.
Not to be missed is the proximity to Barumini (4 Km), famous all over the world for the "su Nuraxi" nuragic complex declared by Unesco as a World Heritage Site. Also in Barumini there is "casa Zapata" a wonderful and complex residence erected by the aragonese aragonese family of the Zapata family from the end of the 16th century.
In the nineties of the last century during the restoration of the palace it was discovered that the Zapata palace was built over the well-preserved remains of a nuragic settlement that the archaeologist Giovanni Lilliu, as it is located near the parish church, called Nuraxi and Cresia.
Thanks to an architectural restoration project of great scenographic impact elaborated by the architect Pietro Reali, both the baronial palace and the underlying nuraghe, appropriately brought to light, have become the site of a museum complex (called Museo Casa Zapata), inaugurated on July 29th 2006.
It is fascinating and difficult to describe the beauty of walking on the crystal floors of the ancient dwelling of the Zapata and seeing the ruins of the nuraghe below.
