An all-time favourite contemporary styled beach log cabin or cottage in top location Gillies Bay on Texada Island!

Cute 2 Bedrooms on the main floor + a loft.
Full Kitchen with new appliances under 4 yrs, dishwasher, in-unit laundry and 1 Bathroom with Tub/Shower. Sleeps 1-6. Perfect for a couple or family.

Huge deck overlooking the virtually UNOBSTRUCTED gorgeous views.
Adirondack chairs, picnic table, barbecue, umbrella and lawn chairs.

This is a self-contained cottage. We dont live on property, there is only 1 suite - yours!

LOCATION:
The cottage is in the heart of Gillies Bay where the island's best waterfront and facilities are.
Short walk or drive to General Store and Farmer's Market on Sundays and Shelter Point.
Also, short distance to community hall, library, as well as a short distance to clinic and tennis courts, hiking trails, 9 hole golf, boat access, airport and a 20 min drive to the ferry terminal.. Experience island life and the beach cottage lifestyle!

LAYOUT
RARE, drive up to your cabin, 2 steps up to deck and cabin. Easy loading/unloading!

Main floor: Living and Dining area, kitchen, bathroom with 1 extra-comfy King sized bed and 1 Queen sized bed on main floor. If your group is bigger, our ladder leads you up to a low ceiling 5' loft (at its peak) which has 2 Twin beds best suited for ages 7 and up. 800sqft total. King sized bed is two XL twin beds combined using King sized sheets, exact same size as a King.

WATERFRONT- Back of property leads to beach below through path and steps to Beach below, please be careful particularly young kids or elderly. Or just stay on the deck! Perfect for summer sunsets and winter storm watching. Steps to the quiet beach below. When you catch low tide during the day, miles and miles of sandy beachfront!!

Wildlife abounds on the island: try spotting seals, dolphins, whales, blue heron, eagles, kingfisher, blue jays, black tail deer

Celebrating our 48th anniversary
A peaceful & quiet getaway. What the beach house lacks for in size, is more than made up for by it's beach front location with stunning views. Our 2 evenings were enjoyed on the deck, For us, the combo of watching whales, our bbq dinner, wine & sunshine was perfect.

The Beach House - August 10-17
The Beach House was the perfect place for us to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The island was quiet, the house was perfect. Spent most of our days sitting on the deck enjoying the wildlife that appeared - blue herons, Canada geese, loons, deer, eagles. I was able to crochet and relax my brain! Thank you for a fantastic week!

Breath Taking Views
Truly enjoyed three lovely nights and days at the Beach House on Texada Island. Location is amazing with views west of Vancouver Island. Gillie's beach below the house. Beach House is well equipped with comfy beds and linen, small comfy sitting area and dinning area and a gorgeous deck. Lots of exploring to do around the island. We ventured on to Anderson Bay road - which was an adventure - used all of the SUV 4X4 features. Highly recommend this place.

Good, but not perfect
This was our first time on Texada Island! The view from the Beach House was beautiful and the location was excellent. We were staying next door to more family, so it was nice to have a big family trip. The Beach House mostly suited our needs when it came to space. There were a few issues when it came to the property being ready for us though. They’re in the middle of redoing their deck, so it was halfway completed when we arrived. They bought a new bbq but it wasn’t set up, same with new umbrellas that weren’t set up, and the dishwasher wasn’t emptied. The kitchen also could have been stocked better with more cutlery and better frying pans, etc. None of these were big issues, but they were noticeable. It should be mentioned that when we openly discussed some of these things being issues for us on the deck (e.g., the dishwasher, the bbq, the umbrellas), we soon received an email from the property owner mentioning those exact issues. There is a Ring camera on the property right next to where we were talking, and we’re fairly certain the owner was listening to our conversation. While she did a great job resolving our issues, this is a major invasion of privacy! Overall, we had a pleasant stay, and the view was wonderful, but we felt it necessary to point out some of these issues with the property.

Great location - but not in great shape
We stayed 2 nights June 2024. The location is lovely. The space wasn’t maintained like the ratings advertised. The deck was completely covered with pollen, leaves and all the furniture needed cleaning. The BBq was still in a box not set up. ( annoying as we wanted to Bbq.) The sun umbrella was broken. Everything else was very basic. The property next door the sand dollar looked amazing! Same style cottage. But with all the amenities set up and working when we chatted with the neighbours.

We had a wonderful time in your cozy cabin overlooking the Salish Sea during the stormy season. The cabin had everything we needed for a fun winter getaway, puzzles, DVDs, a comfortable bed, and a fully stocked kitchen.

Quiet Getaway
Had a great visit to Texada, this was a wonderful cabin that had everything we needed. The bay has large tide movements which meant the kids had a blast exploring and swimming during low tide. Would return!

Relaxing Island Vacation
The cottage was very comfortable with a beautiful view overlooking Gilles Bay, which we enjoyed during our stay. Several nice rocky beaches to relax and explore during the week with Shelter Point, Glass Beach and Single Beach being our favourites. The museum is worth a visit and make sure to go to the Sunday Farmer's Market to pick up one of Gale's pies before they sell out! Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable week at the cottage.

It's a comfortable cabin with a great ocean view!
Clean, comfortable, well furnished. Our family stayed for a few nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The loft was a really nifty place for the kids to play while the adults chatted downstairs (mind the ladder). Access to the beach was easy. Amazing sunset from the large deck. Perfect for pre dinner drinks. We would stay again!
