If you're looking for a lovely authentic Cretan experience, I can highly recommend staying at the Amazing Stone Villa. Yiannis and Mary, the owners, were both lovely and welcoming. Maria's Tavern is a must if you stay. We enjoyed climbing near Kapetaniana and Agiofarango.

Being part of the Koumasa excavation team, we stayed in Vasiliki for three nights. It was our first time at the Amazing Stone Villa, undoubtedly to be followed by many others. We got a three-room apartment with two double bedrooms and a living room / kitchen. Yiannis and Mary were very accomodating, the villa is newly refurbished and offers great facilities, all clean, new and in good taste. We highly recommend it!

Unser Aufenthalt in der "Amazing Stone Villa" auf Kreta war einfach perfekt. Die Villa liegt in einem ruhigen und malerischen Dorf. Das Haus selbst ist stilvoll eingerichtet, unglaublich sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man fĆ¼r einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Der Gastgeber Yiannis ist ƤuƟerst herzlich und hilfsbereit. Er stand uns jederzeit fĆ¼r Fragen zur VerfĆ¼gung und gab tolle Tipps zu Ausflugszielen und Restaurants in der Umgebung. Wir haben uns hier rundum wohl gefĆ¼hlt und kƶnnen die "Amazing Stone Villa" jedem nur wƤrmstens empfehlen, der auf der Suche nach einem erholsamen Urlaub abseits der Touristenzentren ist. Wir kommen wieder!

Nachdem wir vor 6 Jahren auf Kreta in der Amazing Stone Villa waren. Waren wir zu viert wieder nach Kreta gereist und haben wiederum die Amazing Stone Villa gebucht. Die Schlafzimmer haben eine Klimaanlage, die erholsame NƤchte ermƶglicht. Wir kƶnnen die Amazing Stone Villa im SĆ¼den Kretas nur empfehlen, gerade fĆ¼r Familien die Individual-Urlaub bevorzugen und KEINEN Pauschalurlaub. Die Villa bietet genĆ¼gend Platz fĆ¼r 4 Personen. Gutes WLAN ist vorhanden. Wir hatten einen Mietwagen und von Heraklion Flughafen ist man in 1 Std bei der Amazing Stone Villa. Von hier aus kann man tolle AusflĆ¼ge unternehmen: z.B. Tripiti Strand => Fahrt dorthin ist ein richtiges Abenteuer, neu erƶffnetes ArchƤologischen Museum von Mesara, sowie die archƤlogische StƤtte von Gortyna empfehlenswert, und es ist nicht weit nach Matala und StrƤnden dort. FĆ¼r einen Ausflug nach Spinalonga (in der NƤhe von Agios Nikolaos) haben wir einen Tagesausflug Ć¼ber eine recht bekannte Internetseite fĆ¼r AusflĆ¼ge gebucht. Neben typisch griechischen SpezialitƤten Restaurant kƶnnen wir sehr die Restaurants / Pizzaria LaNotte kurz vor Mires (Moires) und Taverna Kritamos kurz nach dem archƤologischem Museum sehr empfehlen! Ein reichhaltiger Lidl und ein groƟer griechischer Supermarkt (Ī§Ī±Ī»ĪŗĪ¹Ī±Ī“Ī¬ĪŗĪ·Ļ‚ ĪœĪ±Ī§) haben alles was man fĆ¼r Selbstverpflegung braucht. Es ist wirklich ein Ort, an dem man sich entspannen, zur Ruhe kommen und den tƤglichen Problemen entfliehen kann!

SĆ©jour fantastique Ć  la villa, tout a Ć©tĆ© trĆØs bien, de l'accueil avec les petits produits locaux et la symphatie de Yannis Ć  l'arrivĆ©e la propretĆ© de la villa, l'Ć©quipement optimal , la villa est trĆØs belle, et on s y sent bien. Endroit stratĆ©gique pour le secteur de kapetaniana, agio farango... Village et alentours authentiques . Nous recommandons vivement une Ć©tape par cet endroit.

Das alte Haus wurde von den Vermietern wunderschƶn renoviert und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es bietet fĆ¼r vier Personen genĆ¼gend Platz (und mit dem Appartment sogar fĆ¼r sechs bis sieben) und ist einen perfekten Ausgangspunkt fĆ¼r ErkĆ¼ndungstouren im Gebirge als auch der "Jagd" nach kleineren Buchten. Die Gegend ist wenig touristisch, dafĆ¼r aber umso authentischer. Die Vermieter warten beim Ankunft mit Kuchen, einer HausfĆ¼hrung und vielen Tipps und VorschlƤgen auf; vom versteckten Bucht bis zur Taverna fĆ¼rs Abendessen und Wochenmarkt. Alles in allem, wirklich empfehlenswert!
