You've just found a nicely updated pet friendly home that is a fantastic lodging option for your Grand Lake vacation. Unlike many properties, this cozy cabin in the woods has been thoughtfully and beautifully renovated to provide you with good quality finishes and comfortable furnishings. Besides being pet friendly and nicely updated, the home features an open concept layout, vaulted ceilings, leather furniture, a massive HDTV, a wraparound deck, and plenty of parking for cars or trailers. The location is ideal too, with quick easy access to Lake Granby, Grand Lake, Stilllwater Pass trails, and more. The home sits on 2 acres which includes an outdoor fire-pit and evergreen forest. Read on for more details.
The home has 3 Bedrooms plus a loft and a bedding setup that is great for all sorts of groups. There are 5 individual beds, so if you have 5 people that don't want to share beds, no problem! The two downstairs bedrooms are ideal for couples or maybe those singles who snore. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed and bedroom 2 has a Queen bed. Upstairs, bedroom 3 has a Queen bed, a Twin bed, and a good amount of space for your things. Also upstairs is a loft area with another Twin bed. With 1 Queen and 2 Twins, this upper level might be ideal for a couple with kids. Whatever your group dynamics might be, this home has a good amount of comfy beds for your use. The home has 2 bathrooms too. There is a beautifully renovated bathroom on the ground level, accessible from the common area, so anyone can use it without disturbing those who are in the bedrooms. It has a big glass enclosed shower with very attractive tile and a teak bench. There's a window too, just high enough to allow you to look outside without causing any privacy issues. The bathroom also features new hardwood floors, an upgraded vanity with farmhouse sink, and plenty of bright lights. Upstairs there is another bathroom. Having a 2nd bathroom is always nice, and for those sleeping upstairs, there's no need to go downstairs in the middle of the night.
When you're not sleeping, the home has a lot more to offer in the common areas. The kitchen is a good size and fully equipped. It features stainless steel appliances, including a gas range and fridge with filtered water and ice. The cabinets are nice, there's plenty of light, and the peninsula acts as a bar for breakfast or helping your chef with meal prep. The main living area has 20 foot vaulted ceilings. The tongue and groove paneling on the ceiling and walls combines with the leather sofa to create a warm and inviting space. The HDTV is more than large enough and can be viewed from the entire space, including the kitchen. Out the sliding glass doors you'll find a big wraparound deck that is sure to be enjoyed by guests in spring, summer, and fall. The outdoor furniture offers you a nice place to dine or enjoy coffee, tea, or other tasty beverages. The owners keep flowers, herbs, and hummingbird feeders to accentuate the natural feel provided by the mature pine forest that surrounds. A few steps lead down to the yard and nearby fire-pit. Come prepared with supplies for smores and maybe some campfire stories!
The home has a great location and a nice piece of land. Lake Granby, the Stillwater boat ramp, and the Highland Marina are only 1/2 mile down the road. The Idleglen parking and staging area for for the Stillwater Pass OHV and snowmobile trail system is only a couple of miles away. The shopping and dining of downtown Grand Lake and the town of Granby are an easy 10-minute drive down highway 34. The home sits on 2 acres of land full of mature pine trees. When you sit out on the deck or at the firepit you'll feel like you're out in the national forest. That said, there are some neighbors around, so this property is not for those looking to have a party or make lots of noise late into the night. Dogs are welcome here, if approved in advance, and with a small nightly fee. From highway 34, there is only 1/2 mile of county road to the home. The county road is pretty gentle and easy to navigate, so access would be possible for most vehicles year-round. That said, in winter season, we recommend 4 wheel or all-wheel drive for anyone who is visiting the area.
The home's interior and exterior have been well maintained and we are looking for guests who will take good care of the home too. This is not a party house, but it is a great place for respectful people and responsible dog owners to have a good time. We know you will find this home to be comfortable, convenient, a great place to make memories, and a place you'd choose again for your next visit to the area. Please contact us with any questions or to confirm pricing and the availability of possible discounts for your dates, or feel free to book online with confidence, and we'll be in touch to reconfirm the details of your reservation.

After booking, a Vacation Rental Agreement will be provided. All guests are required to sign the agreement within 72 hours of booking, and prior to occupying the property. There may be other requirements. For example, Guests may be required to provide additional information about the group that will occupy the property and or identification documents. ** Amenities - Some private or shared amenities may not be available for guest use during certain periods. Some amenities, when part of a property, may close daily, seasonally, or for maintenance. As such, all amenities can not be guaranteed to be available at all times. Please advise us when or before booking if you have questions about a specific property amenity so that we can give you the most accurate information possible for your dates.
** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Pets & Fees - “Pet Friendly” means Dog Friendly only. If a property is pet friendly, then a per pet, per night fee will apply. Some online booking sites, such as VRBO, do not allow us to list the maximum number of pets per property. If you are renting a pet friendly property, and will have more than one dog, please reach out prior to booking to verify if the home will allow more than one dog. Additional fees will apply for more than 1 dog.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. Please let us know if you have any concerns.
** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on. If you are booking for a lengthy stay, please contact us before booking online to discuss your group, your dates, the rates, the cleaning schedule, etc.
