While nothing special it is adequate and cost acceptable for those traveling to visit the Grand Canyon and the town of Williams where it is located had a great pizza place for dinner nearby.

Very convenient to downtown Williams I select this property because of its location for the hot tub, for the breakfast option and room amenities. The property is very outdated with no charm inside, and your amenities are very few even down to the one coffee pod and 40 packets of sugar, in our hotel room. Let’s talk about breakfast. Very, very crowded. There is many seats, but yet its a very small room so the congestion makes them unusable. The breakfast concludes of .. cereal with milk, one selection of muffin, toast, or waffle. For drinks, you have coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, or apple juice.. The orange juice or apple juice both seemed watered down and still bearly bearable to drink. We ended up tossing our waffles and syrup and our muffins. The only edible thing that we had there was cereal. As far as the pool amenities and hot tub. It was very crowded. There were children there that was unattended and made the experience unbearabl. Wanting to speak to someone at the front counter of course no one was to be found. So my family and Iended up leaving and going back to my room. During checkout when going to the office, the lady at the counter was on the phone with a friend or family member in the middle of a conversation. Not wanting to end her conversation, she tried to rush me out, therefore not answering my question. All in all it’s fair for me to say, I will be selecting another hotel on my next trip to Williams.

Pretty Disappointed, Given the Circumstances

It was disappointing that the front desk told us at check in that there would be no housekeeping for us during our stay. We had to put our towels and our trash outside of the room to be picked up, instead of it being taken care of by staff. I have never stayed at a hotel where this was the case, even at 2 stars. Breakfast was as expected, and the only hot option was waffles. The dining room was far too small and packed to the brim with people. The beds were not great, and resulted in one of our party sleeping on the floor for three nights. The pool was a good touch - it was indoor and heated, and for this time of year, it was great. Parking was pretty good, but they did not have accessible rooms available, despite it being in my reservation. I had called a week in advance to request a cot, and there were none available when we arrived.

For the price we paid ($54 for 2 queen bed, non-smoking room!), this place met all our needs. Sure, it’s not a destination, as in, you won’t drive all the way out here for the amenities and pool and hot tub, but as a place to sleep on the road, it was perfect. Rooms are outdated but clean. The bathroom and bedding were clean, and it’s a Wyndham property. :) It had a microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board. I could see out to my vehicle parked outside, and at night, the whole parking lot is lit up very brightly for security (I’m assuming). Breakfast consisted on a simple spread of apple or orange juice, coffee, toast, muffins, and waffles you make yourself. It’s a great value especially when traveling. Our particular room was missing the chain that goes on the door, but I always bring my own security lock whenever I travel, so it wasn’t a big issue for me.

If you just need a reasonable price room just for one night, this is it. Very comfy beds!! Clean room and lots of pillows.

I was very disappointed with my stay at this Howard Johnson in Williams, AZ. For a brand of this caliber, I expected better. The beds were uncomfortable, and mine had a noticeable slant, making it difficult to sleep. Our room lacked a microwave, and despite calling the front desk immediately after check-in, the issue was not resolved, forcing us to use the lobby microwave. The bathroom was extremely small, making it challenging to use comfortably, especially with the awkward placement of the toilet paper holder. Additionally, there was no turn-down service provided during our three-night stay. Overall, the experience did not meet my expectations.

I booked this because usually Howard Johnson hotels aren’t too bad and because they have a hot tub ( plus the great price). It is an okay place to stay for a night if you can tolerate noise. The walls must be very thin because I heard every footstep on my floor and above me and sometimes startled me. It took me a couple of hours to fall asleep. Otherwise, the hotel is just okay. You can tell it’s old. The bed was fine and the shower was nice.

Heat not working properly. Not what we expected with Howard Johnsons now with Wyndam. Staff was nice and seemed caring. Breakfast area small and not too many choices. Not VERY ADA friendly.
